Chinese IT delegation visits Technopark

An eight-member delegation from the Information Industry Bureau, Shenyang, in China, conducted an exclusive visit to Technopark on Wednesday. The high-level delegation was received by Secretary for IT Ajay Kumar IAS at Technopark along with Siddhartha Bhattacharya, CEO, Technopark-Infopark.

The session began with a seminar on India-China software sector. Liu Huiming, Secretary, Shenyang Huanggu District Communist Party Committee, in his presentation, said that the purpose of their visit to Kerala was to investigate the well-developed software outsourcing services industry, study and make use of the valuable experience of building software parks and extend willingness to lay the foundation for future cooperation.

Yang Hongfeng, Director, Shenyang Information Industry Bureau, who highlighted the advantages of Shenyang, gave insights into the IT growth of the place. He also pointed out that Shenyang would be equipped with an IC equipment park, animation industry park, digital medical equipment park, photo-electric information industrial park and RFID technology product industrial base.

He also invited a delegation from Kerala to visit Shenyang and said that entrepreneurs from Kerala could make use of the tax-free environment that was being doled out to outsourcing companies. He said that China is formulating a policy to make all IT-related ventures tax-free and new entrepreneurs can benefit from this move.

Bhattacharya said that he’s looking forward to a wonderful working association with the Shenyang team in the future and also invited companies from Shenyang to set up offices in Kerala, highlighting the opportunities that Kerala offers. He also dwelt upon the immense potential that the State has in store for entrepreneurs.

Purushothaman, Regional Director, NASSCOM, Chennai, gave an overview of the Indian IT BPO Sector and the efforts NASSCOM was making towards making India a preferred IT-ITES location.

The delegation also visited Toonz Animation Studio and UST Global.

The other members of the team were Zhang Chengzhe, Division Chief of Shenyang Information Industry Bureau International Cooperation Division, Jin Fang, Director, Gongxingda Information Technology (Shenayng) Company Ltd., Gao Song, Director, Shenyang Shengfeng Software Co Ltd, Fu Yongquan, director of Shenyang Rongke Technology Engineering Co. Ltd. and Surinder Kumar, associate and Chief Interpreter of India China Alliance Centre.

  1. Chinese people is a threat for india in IT and military. saw some news that they declared cyber war against India.

    The Association with china in the field of IT would make ill effect to India. In china the labour is very cheap and they are more advanced in electronics and harware manufacturing for leading countries in the world including usa.

    the only draw back they are having right now is their lack of knowledge in english language, and they are working on that also. so China will be the next threat to the indian IT companies in the coming decades.

    So such co-operations will only loose our advantages in IT.
