No Drainage: Flood on Newly constructed Road in Kazhakuttom

TechnoparkToday.com>> April 9, 2014:  The recently maintained Kazhakuttom –Vetturoad stretch got water locked in the first summer rain on Monday.  The widening works of the road was completed in last month by the NH wing of PWD.

The road has a width of 7 meters on the either side of the median.  But, the absence of surface water drainage system in the construction will create flood whenever a heavy rain happens.

As the road has a heavy traffic in the peak hours, it will become a big woe to motorists and pedestrians in the rainy seasons.  The Kazhakuttom – Vetturoad stretch was completed at a cost of Rs 3.6 crore.
