TechnoparkToday.com>> Once again Technopark has proved that the largest IT park has a large heart too. Daan utsav celebration was a heartwarming event, touching everyone who turned up. Technopark observed the sixth edition of Daan Utsav in a bigger way.
The event started with a flash mob that was energetic and was enjoyed by all.
Malayalam actor /writer Murali Gopy delivered the message of Daan Utsav to techies. He has launched the Daan Utsav celebrations at Technopark for this year. “Seeing the celebrations here, and experiencing how you are doing it, I am sure it will not end today, should go on every day and be a way of life.” Murali Gopy said.

It was one of the best events we had here as our guests are children, said Sri KG Girish Babu, CEO Technopark, while welcoming Murali, the children who were Technopark guests for a day and Technopark employees.
Students from schools for Deaf at Jagathy & Sree Mookambika Sravana Samsara Vidyalayam, Vazhuthacaud and St. Marys School, Pattom spent a day in Technopark and visited some major IT companies in the campus.
Technopark employees from various organizations like Allianz, RR Donnelly, UST Global, and Qburst took them around their campus. A bus trip was arranged for students for seeing the Technopark campus.
Magician Rajesh Wayanad entertained the students with his street magic.
Swapna Augustine, who belongs to Kothamangalam, was born without both her arms. But she would do all by herself using her legs. She had started to draw at a very early age. She learnt the art by staying at the Chethipuzha Nursing Home, Changanassery. Her paintings reached out to the whole world, through the Association of Mouth and Foot Artists (AMFA), Switzerland.
Bhavani Atrium hosted exhibition cum sale of paintings of Swapna Augustine from October 6 to 7.
Techies fulfilled all wishes of students, which were displayed in the wish trees as part of Daan Utsav. Wish trees were placed in front of all buildings of Technopark. Wishes include simple needs like umbrella, lunch boxes, toys, watches, etc.
Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural organization of Technopark employees announced a scholarship scheme for students from poor financial background, who are excellent in studies. There are lot of students who have passed SSLC with very high percentage of marks and secured A+ for all the subjects but are struggling to take forward their education due to financial constraints at home. Many higher secondary students are facing difficulties in finding the required tuition fee and various other examination fee. Prathidhwni will assist students from BPL families for their +1, +2 studies. By a monthly scholarship of 1000 rupees for 2 years, 30 children will be given this scholarship in another event soon.
VSC ( Vivekananda Study Circle) announced an insurance program for selected students and general public as part of the Daan Utsav.
Distribution of one night meal to 100 people at Medical College, Trivandrum by Technopark volunteers with the help of sparsham an organization of house surgeons in Medical college was held in the evening.
