It is reported that there was a big fight happened between some of the employees in Technopark yesterday afternoon. Heavy blood marks were found near the Tejaswini food court ( near to the lift ).
And it says that the fight happened between the TCS employees and the employees some other companies. and one of them got severely injured in the attack and sent to casualty after the incident.
It is reported that many techies including the girls were shocked by seeing the incident. “It is really shameful for everyone in technopark to see the employees are fighting each other like locals. technopark was considered as a place of professionals,so it should not be encouraged” – said Rajesh Kumar, a Software Engineer.
“Technopark is certainly not the place to show your muscle might. and if they want to , it is time they go for a different job” – Said another techie.
The employees of whichever company involved in this shameful event should collectively take an action. So we request the authorities to investigate about the incident and take actions against the culprits. Let’s keep our working environment more mature and professional.
Our reporters are investigating about the incident, and we will update the details soon.
very unfortunate. just take immediate actions against them..we dont want to make any goons within the best IT park in India.
Unfortunate. Hope Technopark authorities and those companies will investigate and take necessary action.
once the culprit is caught he shd be thrown out frm the technopark.
We are already fed up with the TCS trainee guys, they are not civilized and making troubles everywhere it seems.
They dont have any manners even if they are in Subway or baskin robbnins, they come as a group, and never think about who others are sitting there, they simply making noice, whistles, and we can’t even enjoy our food there.
So Mind it, if they repeat it anytime again, we know how to handle it.
Bad ,Shame ……………………………………..
To all so called trainees in TCS,
You guys are making unwanted troubles in and around Technopark. Please aware about the culture and people around this place when you are staying/working here.
We are really annoyed of you people, and we can’t tolerate it anymore. so the TCS authority, please take some actions on this, this not Delhi or bangalore. we will start reacting if you guys are making troubles here.
This is somebody’s experience, shared in Technopark Forum.
“After talking to some of my friends, I came to know that many people are irritated because of few of the TCS trainees behavior. One such incident that I came to know from a friend of mine,
He used to Travel by Volvo bus everyday and a day in last week around 6 pm, lot of people were waiting to board the bus near Thejeswini, and they see a bus approaching them. As the bus approaches itself, people outside wondered what was the sound inside the bus as there were whistles and howls.
Once the bus stopped and all of them got in including my friend, they were shocked as few TCS trainees were playing Anthakshri along with a dance inside a Volvo bus. He has to go to the last seat of the bus where actually this anthakshri was going on, as the bus is already full. He actually stood there thinking that as the rush increases they would stop. But they never did. As he could not tolerate he actually got down in the next stop to take some other bus trying to avoid the fight.”
TCS people, grow up please…this is not a college, even if you guys are here straight from the college. so being in a professional place, act like a professional, even if you guys are not still…
TCS should take some vital action against the incident happened in Thejaswani food court & I hope this will happened very soon.
We can’t tolerate with these criminals .
This is not the first time TCS trainees are coming into the lime light for non sense like this. Their behavior especially in Tejaswini food court has to controlled. People come there eat and take a fresh breath of air, but these trainees have made it a local Dhaba were there sing, dance and play Anthakshari.
I don’t know why these trainees are so crazy about Anthakshari. Wherever they go the only thing they do is play Anthakshari, they are not bothered whether its Volvo or Food court or Bus Stop.
I would agree with Vijay, TCS authorities along with the Joining formalities please train these trainees on some basic etiquette on how to behave at an environment like Techopark. Not every time people will be able to tolerate these kind of non sense. And incidents of these kind will increase.
Lets keep this place clean and safe “Harmony at work”.
Don’t know about this issue ,what caused ,who caused .But like what other comments here suggest . I too had a similar experience , once I was traveling in a public bus to Eastfort . TCS guys who were sitting in different areas of the bus ,some in the front and some at the back ,were shouting to talk . As I can understand hindi I understood that they were even talking about some B grade movie that they saw . It was like so irritating , I hope for others also in the bus .
I just felt like there is no surprise why Indian guys are getting beaten up in Australia (what we call as racial attack ) ,may be those are guys like these ,who irritate others too much ….
I wish the TCS management here educate their employees how to behave too in public….
I would request that you first ascertain the facts before publishing these kind of stories.
While the incident is unfortunate and should not be encouraged, I cannot restrain from saying that many a times I have myself felt having a word or two with these so called TCS Trainees. People who travel globally, even expats who come to India are sensitive to local culture and try to behave in a manner that appear civilized and acceptable to the local crowd. These TCS trainees who are fresh out of college behave as if its their college campus without any consideration about the peace of mind of the people around them. I have experienced them making mayhem in Baskin Robbins, Thejaswini Food Court, Inside Elevators, and in Local Buses including Volvo. While its unfair to interfere in the freedom of expression of the another person, they also should have the common sense to be sensitive to local culture and respect the surroundings they are in.
What we heard is one guy from Exalt integral, technopark tried to seize and molest a TCS girl, and the guy who was with that girl hit back the assaulter. So here the real culprit is the guy from the Exalt.
yes, the real culprit is the guy who try to attack the girl. don’t blame the TCS guy who attacked him back. this may be the same thing if somebody tried to grab your girl friend. so first of all, throw that criminal from the technopark, and then blame the TCS guy.
Let us wait for updates from “genuine sources”.
The article doesn’t say whether TCS guy or the other company guy is the culprit.
Sid you are right.
No one just beats some one. TCS HR please note
The culprit, whoever it is and whichever organization he belongs to, should be punished appropriately. However, I see that many people have commented after reading the article about unacceptable behavior by TCS trainees at many instances. I didn’t meant to be prejudistic and jump to the conclusion that TCS trainees are the culprits (lets wait for a reliable source to bring out the facts). However TCS authorities should please take a note and conduct a session for new training batches to give them a quick download about “acceptable and normally expected” behavior in Kerala.
But the real culprit is a guy from a company called exalt in tejaswini building. and he tried to grab the Tcs guy’s girl friend. he just did the same as we all do in such a situation, he just broken the culprit’s nose.
TCS guys may be noisy in bus / food court. but we the so called Malayalees are the real culprit in this incident. so please accept it, and technoparktoday, please update the details of the Exalt also. otherwise the people will think like only TCS people made problem
No-one is sure of the incident what happened. But whatever, it is unfortunate for Technopark to have these kind of events inside it.
When we talk about this a question arises in my mind, Is TCS is the only company where north indian students come for training? As far as I know, “NO” is the answer.
I have also noticed north Indian people in other companies like UST, Allianz and Infosys. But they always behave in a professional way and we never felt or had any incidence mentioned here at least to my knowledge.
So what goes wrong and where is still a question mark???
In this case there might be no wrong behavior from the TCS employees, but seeing the response here, the TCS trainees will surely have to behave in a professional way where ever they go and no one can deny the fact.
@Jithin,
“TCS guys may be noisy in bus / food court. but we the so called Malayalees are the real culprit in this incident.”
– how come entire “malayalees” are a problem now?. TCS is not another country – they are a mixture.
Dear Team,
Pls investigate on what happened and you will find that the Exalt integral guy was the rootcause of this issue
Mainly TCS trainees(north indians) are irritating when they are in food court, thejaswini. They dont even bother about others who are sitting nearby them.
They always came with a large group and simply shouting.is this is TCS culture ??At least , all other employees should keep some manners in that.
So i think the real problem may be caused by TCS.
Why are the TCS folks being singled out? Just because they are mostly from other states?
The fact is that the TCS employee was molested by another Techie from some smaller co in the building. Are we trying to justify that a TCS techie can be molested in full public view just because they behave like school/college kids inside TP?
Have we all not seen how Mallus/Malayalees behave when standing in groups alongside Brigade Road in Bangalore (just an example)?
Let us not stereotype ha? We have noisy misbehaving people in all communities, be it Mallu, Tamil, Marathi or Bihari! And molesters, as well!
Forgot to mention, if this is true, as we have been reading on other media as well (http://www.techgoss.com/Story/4352S14-TCS-worker-molested.aspx) …then Technopark authorities need to take stringent action and not try to whitewash the incident to protect technopark’s business interests and image in the techie community. We already have one such comment a few posts above.
Sad for the victim but really happy when I think of the broken nose. Ouch! He needs counseling.
This news is simply aimed at “TCS Trainees”. Eventhough the news doesn’t gives us the outline of the exact incident, the comments simply proves that the someone is trying to blame TCS trainees for mishappening.
Lets wait for the authorities to bring out the truth.
As Jithin mentioned the employees of “Exalt Solutions” who got beaten up should be cross questioned. Eventhough we all claim that “Kerala is God’s own Country”..
“Mallus does’t have the heavy license to misbehave to women from other states” if needed try it out with someone in your home…!!!!!!!!!
From what I heard, the guy from the exalt is the root cause for the incident. he misbehaved with the girl, and that triggered all the fight. so first we have to take actions against that criminal.
Technopark authorities should investigate about such incidents other than hiding it. Then only it will be a message to many such potential criminals. see the technopark is a cross section of our society, all kind of people are there. The only difference is they are having a professional qualification. so we can’t assume that they all are gentlemen.
Many similar incidents were happened in and around the campus, but most of the time the culprits were the outsiders. but nobody lodged even a complaint because it may affect their career , or the life. so they became silent and that doesnt mean that we are safe in every sense.
Ok… Nobody is trying to corner TCS here…but just if so many people to comment about TCS trainees there should be something…Now dont tell me that people who have commented above haven’t seen TCS trainees howling and making unwanted noise in the food courts…so please don’t try cover up for them…
In this incident, TCS may not be the culprit, but don’t forget that this is not college or school or playground ….. We are not trying to type cast people based on the region they come in from….we are talking about all the trainees in TCS….we are talking about everyone not just Mallu, Tamil, Marathi or Bihari! And molesters…..
Let’s stop this childish behavior and try to grown up to the so called Professional. Let’s not compare Brigade road with Technopark…..i think i makes sense at least in this….
What is the current status of the molester? He is still in technopark?
@ Surya – are we trying to say that just because TCS kids are a noisy lot, they deserve to be molested/manhandled? OMG!
@Mathai – Never in any of my comments did I support molestation nor did i say that TCS trainees have to be molested. All I said was to teach these freshers how to behave in a corporate environment…that’s it….
The molester has to be thrown out….at the same time let’s not make this place a Park though its called Techno Park.
@ Mathai..I dont think that anyone is trying to justify anyone here. None of the people who commented here have the intention to justify the person who misbehaved with the TCS employee (if that is what actually happened). However, please take note that the news here is published without actual facts being presented. However, the news is not biased. Still many people commented against the TCS trainees assuming that they were the trouble makers in this particular incident(they may not be in real). But, it logically points at one thing – ie, many people have felt that the general behavior of tcs trainees is not appropriate and is not civilized thus creating a perception in the mind of several people that TCS trainees might the actual trouble makers.
To conclude – Appropriate action should be taken against whoever misbehaved with the TCS employee. Also the authorities should take enough care that similar incidents would not be repeated. At the same time let the TCS trainees also try to change the negative perception many people have about them by tweaking their behavior in a manner suitable to the local culture.
I think the fight happend just because of some miscommunication. what I heard is that, the girl thought the guy is laughing and making fun of her where the actual thing is that he was talking to his friend and the girl told to her friend and the fight happend unfortunately! If this is a public or market place these kind of fights are acceptable.. But TP is a place where well educated and professionals are working. This is not the way to react. The TCS guy must learn how to behave. If the girl was molested like you said, why he didn’t give a police complaint against this?
The TCS guy didn’t have any injuries bt the other guy had soo many injuries in head, there were bloodspots all over near to 7th floor lift. This means the TCS guy hit him with some weapon where as the other guy was helpless! Is this the way to react to a situation for an educated person?Huh! I dont think so! Those criminal minded guy must be get punished and throwout from here.
More than that when the girl told this to her friend the tcs guy asked the other guy and there itself some argument had takenplace, and for some reason they separated.when the tcs guy met him again near to the lift he started the fight and he hit by some kinda weapon! which means this is a planned fight from tcs guy’s side. Authorities must take action against the culprit and should take legal action. Refer Section 320, Section 325, Section 326 of IPC etc.
I beleive JINTO , SID AND SURYA belongs to Exalt Solutions. That is why they commented like this. Salutes to TCS brave heart.
@ Major Even we salute TCS trainees really I am not joking….for doing all these childish things even at this age…. Most of us can’t do that….you guys really rock…
Hats off and pat of your back….Mind blowing performance and courage to say all these after doing these nonsense….Jai Ho…
Try to understand the meaning of word courage at least once in ur life. Tommorow it can happen to our sisters or close relatives also.At that time please keep quiet and say it is ‘childish ‘ or “non sense “.
I felt the same too…that a few people above were making a combined effort to defend the attacker’s party. It is very obvious.
It is pitiful to see how very few people above have actually come out with a few words of comfort or support for the victim, instead taking on the TCS trainees.
Shows our narrow-minded attitudes!
Way to GO???
I really wonder why nobody (other than anonymous) from TCS is here to comment.
Are we wasting time here over ketchup stains? All the available links provide rumors only and no POOF. Shall we wait this mud flapping till somebody publish genuine information?
@PraVeeN I agree with you… whenever there is a dispute each side have their own reasons to call their act as justice. In this case, there is no proper evidence of what happened actually. Let’s wait n watch…. At the same time we can’t deny the fact that the behavior of TCS trainees have to be in a professional way.
Please try to understand that there is no blame from anyone of us here… Take this as an initiative from us to mentor those kids from college into the professional life…
http://voice.mytechnopark.com/viewtopic.php?id=16667
here is another interesting read where people comes up with requests to TCS trainees on using lifts. (I am directly affected by this many times…)
@ Mr Mathai,
You said the employee from some smaller company molested the TCS employee, then what she ,coming from a larger company ( obviously more professional and dignified) should have done –
Should have questioned him and noted his ID/and given a complaint to the park authorities or police.
Whats she has done – She used her male escort ( sorry the word misleading, but I use in the sense the guy with her) to take the law into his hand and beat up the suspect with some weopon in full view of public.Heard that the smaller co guy got 8 stiches in his head.
Both the guys should be questioned and action should be taken .
Btw , we park employees expect the TCS guys/gals to be sensitive to the local culture.Or else unnecessary ill feelings would eventually create tensions.
oru karyam mansilayi namukkarakkum pani onnum illatahathu kond ingane comment cheyth irikkam,.. the tcs guys r unaware abt tis chat..let some of them too indulge in tis chat.. else tis chats go in vain..:p
@ Major – I dont even know where Exalt soultions work from. Forget being a part of that firm.
I believe you should use a bit more analytical capability and go through what I have been saying – I have not supported Exalt or TCS. Neither have i judged any party since we dont have adequate information on this. All I have been saying is that this incide is unfortunate and whoever is the culprit (either one or both) should be punished. Along with that I was just commenting on the so called publich behaviour of TCS trainees (not a blanket comment on all of them but the major chunk) which I have persoanlly experienced at many isntances. That doesnt mean they could be the culprits. We dont have adequate information to decide who was the trouble maker here. Anyway while reading blogs please try to understand the content more thoroughly before making baseless and childish allegations. Thanks
@ Mathai!! – Dude the news published here is half baked and incomplete. Based on that how can people decide who is the culprit. And I dont understand but how did you decide who the culrit and who the victims is? I belive most people here were saying the culprit (whoever it is – TCS or Exalt or both parties) should be punished. And as the TCS name came up, people came out with what they have experienced during many isntances – insensitve and unacceptable behaviours from the part of TCS trainees (not all of them I am sure, but a major chunk may be). That doesnt mean that the other party is being justified. You have to look at it as two different issues. 🙂 thanks
wat happend was tat an exalt guy tried 2 misbehave 2 a tcs gal.. a guy who was wit her askd him 2 get lost.. he along wit his friend confronted te tcs guy n started beatin him.. he reactd n thus te ‘big fite’.. ma friend was a witness 2 tis n i also ‘ve close friends in both te companies.. te exalt guy alone was @ fault here.. even thou i don like te way tcs trainees behave in te food court, i ‘ve 2 say tat in tis case they were te innocent party..
Misbehave with a girl is not acceptable (if it’s true) & also in the same time carrying weapons inside the TP campus. We should not support this also.
carryin weapons?? if u r referin 2 tis fite i can assure u tat ter wasn’t any weapons involved.. exalt guy got busted wit te ring worn on te tcs guys hand!!
n i also accept tat misbehavin wit women folks is not @ all acceptable n shud b dealt wit in te hardest manner possible
@rg, I wonder if there was really a “misbehaving”, why there was no official compliant made?
You speak like you were at the spot.
Also, it will be good if you use readable English. The one you use is not a professional style and is usually used by SMS guys in colleges.
We should not be verbally assaulting any company without proof – X or Y.
Misbehavior of TCS guys in public areas is another subject which everybody agree. No need to mix ‘this’ that ‘that’.
The above news saying, “One of them got severely injured in the attack and sent to casualty after the incident.”
And I heard that around 13 stitches are there. What type of ring he worn. (*-*)
@PraVeeN I agree with you…. Was there really a misbehaving . I think, some one created a story. If really happened, then where is she, Why doesn’t she complain against that guy.
Dear Sister, if u r really there. Then you should complaint. Then only this type crime can stop. Other wise this may happen again & again in TP.
Any latest updates on this incident…. I guess nothing…..This is were the problem is, few things gets so much of hype and after sometime it is graved….
Does anybody have any update on this, if so please share….
Hope Mr.Surya is a jobless person in his company. That is why even after 1 and a half month, he is still enquiring the updates.
