FutureMug’s virtual drive makes recruitment a reality at the time of pandemic

At a time when recruitment was hit hard by the pandemic, emergence of a new platform has rekindled hopes of hundreds of job aspirants in Kerala. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, a virtual campus drive, offered by talent acquisition startup FutureMug, drew a record participation of over 1500 students from 25 colleges across Kerala.

FutureMug hosted the virtual drive where major companies joined to interact and identify eligible students for placement. As the conventional model of recruitment drive became impossible due to the pandemic, FutureMug offered their platform and managed the entire event. The virtual drive hosted educational institutions ranging from premier engineering colleges to arts colleges to match the expectations of the companies.

HR representative of Innovature Labs, Ms Shehersada Kader, opined that the FutureMug reduced the amount of time they spend on campuses. “The platform allows us to compare applicant responses from various campuses across Kerala.  The technology questions are spot on and allow us a lot of flexibility to customize and add our own questions.  It is our go-to tool for tech hiring. Campus placement Officer, CEK, Mr Syamesh K G said, “organising recruitment drives in the campus used to be a tedious task which takes months long planning along with utilizing bulk manpower for all the operational activities. This year, FutureMug took over all the activities and it was a cake walk for the faculties as well as students.”
