TechnoparkToday.com>> July 11, 2013:    UST Global, Technopark-based information technology solutions and services company for Global 1000 enterprises, announced that CEO Sajan Pillai has been recognized by STEMConnector(R), the one-stop for STEM Information, as one of the ‘100 CEO Leaders in STEM’ for promoting education and innovation in technology. Pillai’s work and perspective on the need for a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workforce has been profiled in an unprecedented publication produced by STEMConnector(R). This report seeks to close that gap by exploring educational technology resources and strategies from kindergarten to higher education to lifelong learning opportunities.

CEO Sajan Pillai also presented UST Global’s contributions to the report “EDTech: Revolution in Education 2013” at the ‘U.S. News STEM Solutions 2013’ conference to more than 2,000 attendees and 100 CEO leader honorees. Pillai was among a select group of distinguished CEOs who spoke at the event along with Seth Harris, the 11th United States Deputy Secretary of Labor and acting Secretary of Labor.

UST Global believes STEM education and workforce development are extremely critical, with 15 out of 20 high growth careers of this decade requiring significant STEM skills. UST Global also has active initiatives with Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Greece, UK and India to provide technology training to thousands of their citizens. For example, UST is currently planning to train 100 thousand youths globally, to graduate with a degree in information technology. Through extensive training programs, UST has the expertise to train people in information technology and gainfully employ them in high-salary jobs in less than 120 days.

Speaking about the achievement and on UST’s plans for developing technology training in India, UST Global CEO Sajan Pillai said, “As a market leader, excelling in the training and development of talent is expected from us. We take this responsibility seriously. At UST Global, we have taken on the task of training local talent in countries that have a high population and limited job opportunities. We are very proud of our success in this direction and look forward to replicating it across the globe. In India, over time we have trained thousands of people that have gone through our technology training program. India being the hub for computer engineering graduates it is quite germane for companies to master and offer technology training, UST plans to build and promote training in digital device, analytics and science to promote the STEM education and hone young leaders.

“Private enterprises have to think beyond immediate gains and look at training and development as a long term investment in our community,” he added.

UST Global was born out of a need for talent arbitrage, and the company realizes the challenge of finding employable talent.
