Globalization, Corruption, and Status of Women

The recent scandals or dishonors committed on women and girls have once again proved that our woman has become the worst victim of globalization and its spinoff, corruption.   The uncontrolled flow of money from all quarters running through the very nerve of the fabric of our society has debauched our society in many ways and to a great extent some of them are irreparable.  Now, the frame work of our transparency, uprightness, fraternity and harmony based on our age old civilization and that was evolved out of constant struggles against all evils  has lost its essence. Thereby, we are all living and thinking in the world of money and in constant pursuit of happiness without any concern for others.  This has brought the devil out of everybody resulting in conforming to a philosophy based on licentiousness.

 

Sacrificing and compromising all the respects and values, we see ourselves racing one other to make maximum within the shortest period. Once money is made, the neo rich get into deeper trouble by searching ways and means to spend it. The best and easiest way they have found is to lead a wanton life based on the principles of hedonism. Here the exploitation of women begins. The biological parents themselves lead a child to prostitution, the same way a father and mother takes their girl child to a learning centre. They are exploited to the hilt and thrown out once they lost their blood to generate income. Some of them get terminated on the way fearing any of devil’s progeny may come into existence.

 

Which class is not involved in this ruthlessness carried out against innocent women and girls? From top class politicians who plunder money to lower grade clerks, who pilfer money, get involved in this heinous crime against the so called weaker sex.  The people who get caught (by chance) have misbegotten wealth.   Parents or pimps who force others to sell themselves off also belong to our own species that are in search of ways to become rich overnight.  All these committals have degraded the status of women a lot.  A loving mother, a caring sister, a passionate lady teacher, a generous neighborly woman, a thoughtful girlfriend, a supportive wife: all these wonderful descriptions have withdrawn from our society. They have been replaced by an ever suspicious husband, an ever bullying father, a greedy pimp, a rubber necking neighbor, a craving master (not for knowledge) and some crooked colleagues ever ready to hijack the feelings of helpless ones.

 

Women and girls are finding hard to see better human beings to ventilate their sorrows. Every shared stories of sorrow gets updated through internet and Bluetooth, which would have scared even Bram Stoker.. Embarrassed everywhere, finding no corner to hide drives them to frustration, depression and finally madness. Once insaneness is confirmed, they are legally send to any mental asylums .There she hears  the loud laughter from outside  of the maddest men who have become victorious in sending in one more Sita. To avoid all these she ends her life without a whimper.

 

Women alone cannot combat this evils fast enveloping them .If one does it alone, the faster they reach either Coroner’s table or asylums. Right thinking men should lead the fight taking the confidence of the victims. Every support should be of genuine and it should last still the light is seen. The right, genuine moral support will boost them to march forward crushing down the brutes that have been victimizing them.  When will that day come?  That day only men will become men.
