GRE, is an important step in the graduate school or business school application process. GRE is a multiple-choice, computer-based, standardized exam that is often required for admission to graduate programs and graduate business programs (MBA) globally.
GRE is one of the largest assessment programs for admission to graduate courses worldwide. Students planning to pursue admission to graduate programs abroad are required to undertake the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). There is no prescribed age limit or qualification required for candidates to appear for GRE 2022, however, since GRE is an assessment test for admission to graduate courses, candidates are expected to have successfully completed their undergraduate program. Candidates should note that not all programs and universities require candidates to have a GRE score for admission to graduate programs. Whether a candidate is required to appear for his/her GRE is entirely at the discretion of the university and the course he/she is pursuing.
You also have the liberty to attempt the GRE multiple times.
This comes with a catch though – you can only attempt the GRE up to a maximum of five times within a period of twelve months.
Also, note that you can attempt the GRE once in a span of 21 days. So, if you have to attempt it again you need to wait for 21 days and reapply within that time frame.
You are free to select your exam date over a telephone/fax/mail and online (which is what we recommend, as you can register for GRE fastest online).
Another factor to note is the GRE score validity. These scores are valid for a period of five years but it depends on when you’ve taken the test. Unlike TOEFL score which is valid for only two years, GRE provides you with long time score validity.
The GRE General Test syllabus is composed of three sections – Quantitative reasoning, Verbal reasoning, Critical Thinking, and Analytical writing skills. It focuses on measuring your verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills.
