H1N1 has claimed its first victim in Technopark

The dreaded H1N1 virus (also known as Swine Flu) has claimed its first victim in Technopark, Trivandrum. In a very unfortunate event, a young software engineer working in Technopark succumbed to the H1N1 virus infection on Oct 27. The 24 year old techie was undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital in Trivandrum for last ten days.

On September 10, 2009, the Technopark management in partnership with the State Health Department had conducted a session on H1N1 awareness. Most of the 150 odd companies in Technopark have taken proactive steps to curb the spread of this deadly virus.

  1. The person in question was not at Technopark when she contracted the disease. She was in fact on maternity leave. Most probably she contracted the illness at hospital. Both mother and child did not make it. No cause for Panic, technoparkians!

  2. Don’t worry! If H1N1 gets a fotthold in any Technopark company, it will spread like wildfire, with more vigor that outside it!
