Kerala Police is organising the 5th Edition Hackathon with the objective of giving an opportunity for the tech geeks and Information technology enthusiasts to come together under a single platform and to build solutions to equip Law and Order establishments for effective policing and to ensure civil safety. This time Hac’KP comes with a theme “demystifying the darkweb”.
As the theme suggests, we focus on collectively building a single, yet solid solution to demystify the ever mysterious Dark web. Considering the continuing menace of the current pandemic, Hac’KP 2021 will be going virtual this year as well, but with a whole new flavour and form! Hac’KP 2021 in the Online platform also aims to provide the participants opportunities without restraints of location and time zone.
Hac’KP, is an initiative by Kerala Police to host an international hackathon. Unlike previous years, this time Hac’KP aims to build a single application that can handle various requirements of the law and order organizations while working in the realm of Darknet. The final product/solution is expected to equip the Police to device applications on Advanced Darknet Search Engine for LEAs, intelligent Darknet Monitoring and Dissecting the Darkweb.
This time Hac’KP will be conducted as a community-based initiative of highly motivated personnel working with a goal to build a single application. Hac’KP’s skilled mentors will provide adequate directions and support to equip them with knowledge, resources, opportunities and conflict management.
The official flag off of the hackathon was done on 15th February, the logo was released on 24th February and now the Hac’KP website is being made online by Sri. Loknath Behera IPS, State Police Chief in the presence of Sri. Manoj Abraham IPS, ADGP HQ & Nodal Officer, Cyberdome on March 15, 2021 at State Police Head Quarters.
