Taking its campaign for a countrywide ban on endosulfan a step further, the ruling LDF in Kerala today called for a hartal on Friday, April 28.
The state committee of LDF announced the plan for hartal on April 29 to coincide with the concluding day of the International Convention on Persistent Organic pollutants being held in Geneva.
Technopark and other IT parks are arranging special vehicle convoy with the escort of police during the harthal day.and many of the companies arranged alternative ways of transportation for their employees. There would be a heavy rush in restaurants within the IT parks, since there won’t be any restaurants outside.
I would like tptoday to take a initiative reg Ban endosulfan .rather tha n arranging vehicle to ppls. feeling pity reading that line.. i know you wont publish this comment . but do take the initiative..
endosulfan is already banned. and nothing can be done by technopark people to ban it since techies are not related to any of teh politics or fertilizer mafia
@Anoop
Kindly first write an article bringing about the two sides of Endosulfan. The arguments of those calling for a ban, and those opposing it. You might be surprised at the aspects of Endosulfan’s alternative. Political parties – left or right – have a history of considering people as pawns – with our access to the internet we have the ability to educate ourselves. Use it rather than jump on a bandwagon. Stopping work in Technopark is definitely not the answer here or anywhere.
What is wrong in this news guys?
What is wrong in arranging commuting arrangements? Govt. is not going to advice these private companies “not to cut the salary”.
Definitely we need campaigns for ending Endosulfan. I believe technies do it verbally and online. I do anyway.
For me, hartals are just for the benifit of political parties. I dont remember we gathered much through hartals.
