HCL Infosystems Ltd , India’s premier hardware, services and ICT system integration company today will be the latest entrant into India’s one of the largest IT Park – TECHNOPARK.  Mr V K Bahl, Corporate General Manager, HCL Infosystems Ltd signed the land lease agreement for 2 acres of land with Mr Mervin Alexander, CEO of Technopark.  HCL Infosystems Executive Vice President Mr. George Paul was also present at the function. After the signing ceremony, the team handed over the documents to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri V S Achuthanandan at his residence.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. George Paul, Executive Vice President, HCL Infosystems, said, “We commend the vision of the Government of Kerala to fuel investments in igniting the growth of IT sector in the state and are honoured to have got this opportunity to partner in the state growth story. This is yet another chapter in the journey of the expansion of HCL Infosystems as we add more capacity to build a stronger ICT solutions ecosystem.â€
Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan congratulated both the parties and said that big names in the IT Industry’s presence in Kerala will boost Kerala’s image and help in elevate itself in the global IT map.
Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander in his welcome address said, “With the entry of IT major HCL into Kerala, Kerala will have all the top IT players which will put to rest apprehensions if any in the minds of prospective investors about the investment climate in Kerala. It is also a testimony to the pro IT policy of the Govt which has contributed to its significant IT growth over the last decade. I also want to thank all those who were instrumental in bringing HCL to Kerala.â€
“When the Phase III campus is fully operational, it will provide employment for about 20-25000 IT professionals†added Mervin Alexander. The Phase III project is funded by a consortium of banks led by South Indian Bank.

The Technopark Phase III is being developed over 92 acres of land. Technopark will be allotting land in Phase 3 to IT/ITES Companies and Infrastructure Development Companies. The support facilities like 110 KV sub-station, water supply system are ready. Work on sewage treatment plant, canal embankment, approach road, internal roads and bridge works are in progress.
