Hotel Bypass – A new place to eat and treat!

Good news for the hungry Technoparkian – a new hotel has come up in Kinfra Media Park, around 3 km from Technopark, Trivandrum. The Bypass , a member of the Travancore Heritage group, has started its operations recently.

The food is marginally more expensive than Tejaswini Food Court, but the ambience and taste should hopefully make it more than worthwhile. The Kinfra Park is much more greener than our Technopark – more like the Technopark of the 90’s. And instead of the boring Acacias in Technopark (planted due to some lopsided forestation project), the Kinfra Park has more natural tropical hardwoods and bamboos. It is really a get away from the routine office environs (and acacias).

To get there, proceed towards Kaniyapuram, and take the right turn to Sainik School at Vettu Road. The Kinfra Park comes up on the right side just after the Sainik School and JaiHind TV Head Office. You might be stopped at the gate by the security, ask him for directions to Bypass Hotel.  (If none is available, drive straight through the Kinfra gate and turn left at the first roundabout). This hotel can actually be seen from the upper floors of Bhavani, Tejaswini, Nila, Chandragiri, and Leela(new) – look north and you will see a white and wide building with a somewhat distinct architecture.

On the whole, it looks like a great place to eat out once in a while amidst the quiet ambience, away from the hustle and bustle of Technopark, and would come in handy for Technoparkians in search of a special place for treats and parties.
