IEDC Summit For Students Entrepreneurs – On 23rd August

TechnoparkToday.com>> IEDC(Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Centres) Summit, which is said to be the Kerala’s Largest Summit for Student Entrepreneurs will be held on 23rd August 2016 at Girideepam Convention Centre, Nalanchira, Trivandrum. The event is organized by Kerala Startup Mission, in tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

The Innovation Entrepreneurship development centres are small incubators physically available at Engineering, Polytechnic, Management and Arts & Science colleges which promotes Innovation and entrepreneurship from the college level. Kerala Startup Mission supports 147 IEDC across the state which helps the students to come up with innovative ideas and work within the IEDC and start their entrepreneurial journey.

The students along with their studies can pursue entrepreneurship and work on their idea to develop the prototype. The students having a product idea can develop the prototype from the Fab labs available at Trivandrum (Technopark) and Ernakulum (Technology Innovation Zone). These IEDC have created around 200 startups in the state. The students who pursue entrepreneurship are able to work on a particular product and enhance their technical skills, which on their carrier will be an add on even though his start up fail. Frequent events like technical workshops, leadership workshops, design thinking and business modeling workshops are happening often in these IEDCs’ there are hundreds of youngsters who have the thrive to change the world.

Each IEDC have hundreds of students aggressively participating in the events conducted in the state and The IEDC SUMMIT 2016 will be the first of its kind connecting the students from each IEDC covering every districts with a limitation of 1500 participants.

The summit is scheduled with two sets of panel discussions, on the first half we are trying to bring in two levels of entrepreneurs, one who have succeeded from Kerala and established their business across the globe and the young generation entrepreneurs who are building their enterprise globally.

There will be speech on Social Entrepreneurship by one of the oldest Incubator Viligro and parallel sessions on Business modelling, Design thinking and Idea pitching. Ministers, established entrepreneurs and government officials will be part of the event.
