TechnoparkToday.com(Feb, 2014):  In a huge accolade for Startup Village, an innovator and entrepreneur at the Kochi-based mobile-internet technology incubator, will have the honour of being the youngest speaker at the prestigious World Mobile Congress to be held in Barcelona (Spain) from February 24 to 27.

Rohildev N, the 23-year-old founder and CEO of the robotics startup RHLVision Technologies Pvt Ltd which is incubated at Startup Village, will rub shoulders with the likes of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and IBM’s CEO Virginia Rometty at the world’s biggest and most sought after mobile technology event.

RHL Vision’s ‘Fin’, a wearable smart ring that can turn your palm into a gesture interface to control multiple devices, is already creating ripples in the techno- world, thanks to its revolutionary concept and features.

“It’s a big moment for the Team RHL Vision. I hope that the invitation to address the world-class event is also in recognition of the tremendous interest that Fin could generate in the global startup scenario,” said Rohildev.

RHL had also launched a campaign to take Fin into the market on the crowd funding platform Indiegogo (http://igg.me/at/wearfin) with the target of raising USD 100,000 over 45 days. The young team behind the exciting venture has already raised around 61, 047 US dollars, and it hopes to meet the target within the stipulated timeframe.

“I owe my success to Startup Village which gave me a platform to incubate my idea and float my company,” Rohildev said.

Born in a middle class family in Kerala, Rohildev represents the state’s growing tribe of young entrepreneurs who are dreaming big of launching their own companies straight from the college campus. Team RHL Vision, which comprises his close friends, started off with the exciting touch-less technology and went on to win laurels from around the country and abroad.

RHL was one of the top 15 companies at the TechCrunch CES Hardware Battlefield in Las Vegas and the only Indian startup to be selected for the Pioneers Festival in Austria. It was also the second runner-up at the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2013.

“When Rohil first came to Startup Village, he was just another student with no fancy degree or great marks but with the spark of a dream in his eyes” said its chairman Sanjay Vijayakumar. “The upcoming World Mobile Congress, where he will be the youngest speaker, has underlined the fact that provided the right ecosystem, our young entrepreneurs  who are passionate, motivated and determined can be among the best in the world ”
