Infosys has created an interactive social networking portal to keep the employees networked, called Infosys Bubble.

The social networking platform is said to be on the lines of leading social network platform Facebook and will cater exclusively to Infosys employees to share her/his views, pictures, moods and blogs among Infosys employees.

The social networking platform was launched in June and has around 261,030 connections and created around 74,376 profiles. However, the site does not allow employees to post any personal comments and expects a certain amount of discipline to be maintained on the social platform, the company management told to media

Along with the interactive social networking portal, the company has also plans to launch its own in-house radio station called ‘infy radio’ exclusively for its employees. The radio station will go on air in few months and employees need to download an application on their music systems and listen to music.

  1. Every company can consider this model to build a good relationship among the employees.

  2. Good move. an inter company social network will help everyone to know each other, especially in a company like Infy, where lakhs of people are working.

The feeling of being under a common network will give them the freedom and since the network is maintained by the company itself, they can ensure that no classified business information is going out of the company.

  3. Tech Mahindra has been having an internal social networking site for the past 3 years. It was launched on the lines of Facebook and Orkut much before today’s time. Infy jumps on the bandwagon so late and gets frontline news as if it has created something pathbreaking.
