Infosys plans to Withdraw Expansion Plans in Technocity

infosysTechnoparkToday.com>> In a letter to Technopark CEO and IT secretary, Infoys notified authorities that they are not going ahead with starting new campus in Technocity.   Quoting the unsupportive attitude of IT Department, the IT giant decided to withdraw from further expansion plans in the State.

In the letter, Infosys top management has conveyed the decision to withdraw from its plan to construct the ambitious campus at the upcoming Technocity project at Pallippuram, near Kazhakuttom.

The government has allotted a total of  50 acres on the Technocity campus for the project.

“We would like to surrender the land alloted to us at Technocity back to Technopark.  We request you to kindly do the needful and return the amount of Rs. 47.54 crore paid by us”, the letter says.

The letter says, authorities have not shifted a temple from the alloted land and failed to provide infrastructure support.  The water supply line provided to the project is insufficient for the workforce to start the expansion works.

Technopark CEO KG Girish Babu said to media that it has developed a four lane road and provided water and power connections to the proposed site.  He also said the temple does not come under the site allotted for the project.
