International Women’s Day Celebration-2013 in Trivandrum

The fest holds huge significance in the backdrop of recent ill-fated incidents comprising women that rocked the whole nation, as the celebration would ultimately drive towards making of a safer and protected society & a nation for the women.

It is an occasion to celebrate womanhood in a finest manner showcasing the whole world that we are prepared to combat all odds in all forms that prevent the women from being safe and secure. Our State is alert, our Government is attentive and hence, we bring to you this celebration.

As a part of the celebrations, a spectacular live performance by renowned dancer and social activist Padmasree Dr.Mallika V. Sarabhai and Ms.Elizabeth Sombart based on the theme ‘Women with broken wings’ – ‘‘In the Memory of the billion women tortured, maimed, raped, aborted and killed across the world’’ is scheduled to be held on 7th March 2013 at 07:00 p. m. at Sreemoolam Club, Vazhuthacaud, Trivandrum
