  1. good news anyway.but what about the companies in technopark and infopark in kerala? many of the companies didnt even gave any hikes for the past couple of years. they blamed the recession earlier, but now the IT is booming and still they are saying some lame excuses like profitability.

I would like to know how many companeis in kerala gave hikes to their employees.

  2. pay hike in kerala is very less and less frequent than any other places in India. when we compare the pay scale in bangalore, chennai, delhi, pune and other IT majors, its very less and negligible.

the companies here are taking the advantage of employees who settled in trivandrum or cohin, or having their natives here.

  3. Guys, if companies are not giving hike for past couple of years, why they still work for those companies?

The market is very hot now. So brush up your interview skills and go through some tech articles and move on…

I’m with my current company for around 4 years because of the work culture and moderately good employee retention policies.

  4. Such expectations will ultimately damage the Indian economy. On shore rates will become increasingly attractive.

  5. Its not matter of talent already sam mentioned, those who were settled in trivandrum wont look for job outside kerela. And the main prob is there is no other vacancies availiable in the same field for many in kerala???????

  6. Good news. but you can’t compare the salaries in bangalore and chennai or hyderabad in kerala. Trivandrum having very limited number of players and in cochin they dont have many. so if you wanted to stay in kerala, work for a minimum salary, if salary is your concern move to bangalore.
