Kerala Startup Mission Partners with Hero MotoCorp to Boost State’s Startup Ecosystem

TechnoparkToday July 2024 : Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has entered into a strategic partnership with automotive giant Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL) to accelerate the growth of the startup ecosystem in Kerala. The collaboration leverages the combined strengths of both organizations to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the state.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing this partnership was signed by KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika and Mr. Swadesh Kumar Srivastava, Chief Business Officer of Emerging Mobility at Hero MotoCorp Limited. The signing ceremony, witnessed by Shri Rathan U Kelkar, Secretary of Electronics & IT, Government of Kerala, took place at his chamber today. This agreement signifies a major endorsement from an industry leader and highlights the strengths of Kerala’s startup ecosystem.

“This partnership marks a milestone as it will pave the way for a more robust and dynamic entrepreneurial landscape in the state,” said Shri Anoop Ambika. The agreement facilitates collaboration between KSUM and HMCL to support and nurture startups in Kerala. KSUM will curate and recommend startups that align with HMCL’s focus areas, providing them with necessary resources and support.

To further support these startups, both partners will organize knowledge sessions, workshops, and other interventions, offering valuable insights and knowledge. KSUM will spearhead efforts to create awareness about HMCL’s innovation initiatives through events and roadshows at both state and national levels. Selected enterprises will benefit from state startup schemes, including financial assistance, grants, and incubation facilities. This collaboration aims to create a holistic ecosystem that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship, adhering to the brand guidelines of both KSUM and HMCL.
