KITCO to train TIST students in developing job skills

kitcoTechnoparkToday.com>> Aimed at improving the skills of the engineering students and to provide them right guidance, state-owned infrastructure and consulting firm KITCO Limited has entered into an agreement with the Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST).

A memorandum of understanding in this regard was signed between KITCO Managing Director Cyriac Davies and TIST Principal Dr D Vincent H Wilson to offer training and guidance to improve employability skills of the students.

Dr Wilson said the objective was to impart practical training to the TIST students in different engineering fields and make them industry-ready with the help of KITCO’s expertise in the area. “Through this partnership, we hope to improve the students’ employment opportunities and to promote their entrepreneurship qualities,” he said and added that the students would get an exposure to the various steps that go into planning and execution of various projects handled by KITCO.

As part of this agreement, a one-day workshop on ‘entrepreneurship’ was held at TIST. It was led by KITCO Principal Consultant K C C Nair.

KITCO was founded in 1972 by the Industrial Development Bank of India and the Government of Kerala. The organization provides services like project consultancy, detailed Engineering and project execution, technical services, environmental engineering and HRD consultancy.
