Machine Learning brewing in FAYA:80

TechnoparkToday.com>> FAYA:80 (Read FAYA Port 80) continues its legacy of transmitting a medley of interactive discussions on technology in its 38th edition on “Machine Learning: Breaking the Myths and Hypes around”. The 38th edition, in association with NASSCOM, took place at the premises of FAYA India on 7th July 2016 at 5p.m.

The event commenced with Techbites, a session that provides insight into the advances in tools and technologies over the past one month. Latest advances in technology such as Apple WWDC, Android N, Multifactor Authentication of Google with ‘Just a Tap’ and Contextual Identities on the Web by Firefox Nightly were the highlights of the Techbites. The session was delivered by Mr. Liju George, Software Developer, FAYA India.

The cynosure of this edition of FAYA:80 was the session on “Machine Learning” led by Mr. Praseed Pai, Software Architect, UST Global, Trivandrum. He started off the session breaking the common myth that Machine Learning is the cup of tea for Mathematics geniuses. Instead Machine Learning is a technology that could be handled by anyone with common sense. The session revolved around the basics of Machine Learning, Learning concepts and the scope and limits of Machine Learning. Mr. Pai provided insight into the top Machine Learning Algorithms that could be used to create revolutionary systems inculcating the power of Pattern Recognition, Computational Learning Theory and Artificial Intelligence.

The use-cases presented by Mr.Pai stood testimony to the fact that Machine Learning could be used to re-engineer businesses to gain an advantage over competitors and push business-success. Moreover Mr. Pai was able to ignite a spark in the minds of the audience to orchestrate with Machine Learning more confidently.

The event was attended by around 90 technology enthusiasts from various companies in and out of the Technopark. The session won accolades from all for its excellent execution and effectiveness.
