Maya 2010 – woman magicians’ Convention at Trivandrum

The Magic Academy is organizing  the world’s first woman magicians’ Convention on 30th May, 2010 at Magic Academy, Poojappura, Trivandrum. he convention will offer memorable day showcasing the female prowess of the country in the art of magic

The theme is ‘Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities : Progress for all’. The event that would mark the 14th anniversary of the Academy gives prominence to female presence in the world of magic.

Besides regular competitions for seniors and juniors in stage and close-up sections of magic, there will be an interesting section titled, Kitchen Magic introduced for the first time. In Kitchen Magic competitions, participants are expected to use a range of household utensils and vegetables instead of common gadgets of magic. More over the performer should be in traditional housewife dress than magician’s costumes. All competitions are however restricted to a maximum of 8 minutes.
