Mayflower Blooms in an IT Backdrop

>>Techie-turned film director Ranjith Sankar’s upcoming flick ‘Mayflower‘ is set in the backdrop of a techie world.  The director who shot to fame with his debut ‘Passenger’ is all set to woo the techie community with his novel theme.

In an exclusive chat with TechnoparkToday, Ranjith said he would depict the reality of the techie life. “Others feel that techies lead a luxurious life and they are minting money with less effort, but I usually seen them in front of the ‘Tattukada’ near Infopark rather than at the Dominos or ChicKing,” said Ranjith.

Client visits, Overtime, Appraisals,… the terms which are more familiar to the IT world, are portrayed in a sarcastic manner in this film. “Belonging to the same community, I relate with them,” he added.

Ranjith Sankar is working at NeST, Infopark, Kochi.  He takes leave from office works to venture into his passion – cinema.

Prithviraj and Jayasurya lead the film.  Mamta Mohandas and Remya Nambeeshan play the female roles.  Kalabhavan Mani plays another key character.  Sukumar will do the cinematography.

Ranjith’s own production house ‘Dreams N’ Beyond’ produces Mayflower.  August Cinemas will bring Mayflower to theaters.
