TechnoparkToday.com>> FAYA:80 (Read FAYA Port 80) continues its legacy of transmitting a medley of interactive discussions on technology with its latest edition on ‘fastlane: Automation and Continuous Delivery for iOS Apps’.
The event commenced with Techbites, a session that provides insight into the advances in tools and technologies over the past one month. Latest advances such as Google Home, Google Assistant, Google’s Allo, Google’s Radar Controlled Watch and the Twitter changing the 140 character limit were the highlights of the session. The session was delivered by Mr. Jafar Khan, iOS Developer, FAYA India.
The cynosure of this edition of FAYA:80 was the session on ‘fastlane’ handled by Mr. Sarath C., Architect, Experion Technologies, Technopark, Trivandrum. fastlane provides the easiest way to automate building and releasing iOS apps. It is a set of tools that helps to unify and automate the app deployment or release process within a single streamlined workflow. Mr. Sarath provided insight into the fastlane tools, orchestration of fastlane tools to unify development workflow and automation of Continuous Delivery to TestFlight, Crashlytics Beta and App Store using fastlane. Besides demonstrating the fastlane integration with a basic iOS app, Sarath diversified the session by incorporating methods to accelerate development using fastlane tools and Continuous Integration and to use fastlane tools for launching activities such as to generate screenshots, on-board beta test users etc.
FAYA:80 concluded with an open discussion on ‘Native Apps or Hybrid Apps: A Better Choice?’. This was the top rated question submitted by the attendees during their registration for the event. The event was attended by around 50 technology enthusiasts from various companies in and out of Technopark.
