TechoparkToday.com(Dec, 2014) : Making available quality and affordable healthcare while on the go, mobD – an innovative mobile health and wellness clinic – is entering into a partnership with She Taxi, India’s first ever technology-enabled women-only taxi.
Governor of Kerala Justice P Sathasivam will inaugurate the programme, called “Health on the Go”, at a function to be held at Hotel Hilton Garden Inn here on December 16 at 11.30 am. Minister of Health Shri VS Sivakumar, Minister of Social Justice Dr MK Muneer, Shri K Muraleedharan, MLA and Dr PTM Sunish, CEO, Gender Park will be present.
With this association, all She Taxis of the Gender Park under the Social Justice Department will be equipped with basic health facilities required to provide immediate help in the event of an illness. mobD will supply first-aid kits and digital glucometres to the fleet free-of-cost, besides training the SheForce, as the women drivers are called.
Mr Harish Haridas, Founder & CEO, mobD, said, “The underlying objective of the programme is to make quality healthcare available to all, especially those who are not able to make it to hospitals owing to poor health. The association will only strengthen our efforts as She Taxi has proven itself as a safe and reliable transportation for women, children and the aged.”
Mr Harish Haridas, who is the also the Vice Chairman of Lords Hospital here, said SheForce drivers would be trained on ways to offer first response in emergency cases. “It will go a long way in saving lives,” he noted.
As part of this partnership, mobD is offering its Advantage Card free of cost to all SheForce drivers. The Advantage Card entitles them to free health check up every quarter, free lifetime registration at partner hospital, Lords and discounts across all treatments, including imaging and laboratory services. Priority admission and exclusive assistance to SheForce drivers and their family members are among the other benefits of the card.
