Navigant India #PADAID Campaign for menstrual hygiene @ Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com>> Technopark-based Navigant India has always had a special place for socially relevant issues. Every month 25th is observed as orange day at Navigant by the Women In Navigant Forum where campaigns, sessions, workshops are conducted for all Navigant Employees esp women on Gender sensitivity.

This Orange day a new campaign began at Navigant called the #PADAID campaign highlighting the concept of menstrual hygiene where a pad bank is being created with common donations of sanitary napkins. Anybody can donate sanitary napkins towards this campaign irrespective of gender or organization. The main aim is to build constructive conversation around the topic of menstrual hygiene an break the serotypes and taboos around menstruation.

This campaign has facilitated ease of conversation around periods and have seen active donations- The catch of the campaign is donate only as napkins and not as money . Bachelors and married men alike are donating where many of the bachelors are first time donors who now have no inhibitions talking to their female counterparts about menstruation.

All the donations will be handed over to sakhi an NGO in Trivandrum who will in turn donate these napkins to the needy women in coastal areas who are still unaware of hygienic menstruation and related products. Till date as one week passes the donations have crossed 300 packs of sanitary napkins and there is still a week more to go.

This #PADAID campaign is a two weeks campaign and now runs out of Pamba/Periyaar, Nila, Phase 3 Ganga Building. Technopark has offered additional space at Bhavani Atrium, Thejaswini Lounge and Phase 3 Lounge for The #PADAID campaign donation boxes where anybody from any company can donate.

Navigant’s Nagarcoil team is also running this campaign in association with an NGO, Dejaswee.
