“Techonpark as you know is one of the hot and favorite destination for Kerala’s income blooming with increasing business, floating population, rising commercial complexes and healthy packages. With all these we the Techies are pretty comfortable with our life style. But not to forget, we are not doing well at our basic human values, care for others etc.,at this busy part of the world.
One such carelessness by few of the techies can be found on almost everywhere in the campus, especially the stretch in front of Thejeswini building where most of the time we encounter speeding vehicles causing close to a major accident scene. This area is a very accident prone, since the major food courts are there in Tejaswini and Bhavani buildings. pedestrians are usually crossing this road almost all the time, especially during the lunch time and evening tea break time. Zebra crossing lines are there, but they won’t help it seems.
Many people have faced with minor accidents at this spot, but the worst case is that the speeding vehicles does not even care to stop and see what actually happened after a hit.As of now there is no report of major accident from the location but its high time to react to the cause.
We, in favor of techies insist on speed breakers at this stretch to avoid major mishap in the future under our campaign “Need 4 Speed Breakers”
Few people who tries to showcase their stunt talent with their bikes and cars to impress the persons standing at either side of the roads at this area need to be shown the door. For this we need every support from all of you to take a campaign “Need 4 Speed (breaker)” to Technopark authorities.
We hope each one of us who still have great respect for human values will surely accept and support this. Please sign in your name and option in the below comments section. we will forward it to the authorities for further proceedings.
Update on Nov-29-2010
We send this signature campaign to technopark authorities, and we’ve got a reply says, they are taking up the issue. Thanks for the Technopark Authorities, for a quick response.  and hope that it will get addressed very soon.

…stay tuned for more updates.
I support this. We need a speed breaker in front of tejaswini building, and we need in front of every major buildings.
Supporting it..
I’d an experience there, one day i was on the middle of that road and about to cross, one Swift car was speeding up from the water tank, when i started crossing . I tought that guy will slow down when he see someone crossing that road. instead of that, he speeded up the car and i thought he hit me. but by the grace of god i’ve got a narrow escape. I complained it to the security nearby, He said that he cannot do anything since that is not his duty, and how can we tell it to everyone traveling in cars and bikes. and he is helpless.
This is the very high time to think about the speedbreakers in frornt of the Tejaswini building. Thanks for brining up this in to the light.
supporting it. we need speed breakers there….
friends, please forward this request to everyone, who used to cross that road.
supporting….
Very True. This is one of the biggest concern for everyone crossing that road. great work. let’s spread this news.
You have all my support

All of my supports.
Yes, We badly need speed breakers in front of the tejaswini building road. in both sides.
one day i was about to leave the car porche of the tejaswini building after my lunch. it was about 1.45 PM and a Nano car came in 60-70km and i thought it hit me. i was freezed by seeing the speed of the car, which is approaching the porch. there were many people and if he missed the timing to break, it will hit many people and a great mishap can happen that day.
I stopped the car and shouted to that ba***rd, that what the F**K you are doing? it seems he also got the seriousness. but repending after the mishap wont help anyone. so bettter to take prevention.
I SUPPORT THIS MOVEMENT AND WE NEED SPEED BREAKERS THERE
All of my supports.
Appreciating this effort to take up this issue on behalf of all techies. It is very true that the riders won’t even slow down when they see someone crossing the road. They have to understand that, the preference have to be given to the pedestrians on the road. but here it is just opposite.
The bike riders are very dangerous there, they are showcasing their riding skills with their brand new bikes there, because they will get many viewers during the lunch time and evening time( bus stop is nearby and many girls would be there). But this poor fellows didnt think about others and possible dangers.
So it is highly advisable to put speed breakers – NOT THE MILD ONES, WE SHOULD PUT GOOD BREAKERS to make sure that every vehicle will be reduced its speed in to 10km/h approaching the breaker.
All of my supports.
great effort..supporting this
My support for this movement.
Signed. Supports
I support it.

All of my supports and vote for this.
Speed breakers needs to be put in front of all buildings. But the first priority is in fornt of tejaswini as described in the above article.
Well done…
Best wishes,
Mathew K John
Support you. All the very best!
Supporting it.. Hope it can get implemented soon.
Speed breakers are unscientific*. <<AGAINST
Limit the pedestrian crossing in front of Bhavani and Thejaswini to Zebra cross and block exit in the median and b/w island. Crossing all over the median is a mess, as driver can't decide who will cross and who stops half way on seeing the vehicle. Any vehicle that leaves Bhavani (in front of Thejaswini) must NOT take a right turn. They need to do the round about at any point.
Any vehicle that speeds above 40km/hr in any part of Technopark campus must be banned (vehicle) from entering the campus for next 1 week. For this, a provision to report speeding of cars/bilkes need to be there. Anyone with valid id can report the incident. At the gate, the security canrestrict the entry the next day. << SUGGESTION
* Each time you jump a hump, your intestine and disc are having enough inflammation. Putting is barricade is not an option, since during peak time, enough cars/bus are there and it will be a mess.
+Hit and run- They need to work in Technopark next day also. Just take a note of reg. number and hit him/her hard. All vehicles entry are logged at the gate with time. So you can support your cause.(Internal rides are not logged 🙁 )
Anish,
Preference should be given to pedestrians all the time, if there is someone in the road, the vehicles should slow or stop and let them go first, as it is in developed countries. thats the good practise to be followed here also.
In big electronic cities, including the other campuses like infosys, they wont allow the vehicles to come inside and ride as you like, they have a common parking slot on the outskirt of the campus, and only pedestrians and bicylcers are allowed in, but here that is not possible, so we should compromise on the pedestrians and their freedom.
Also, let the people to walk through the footpath, and not in the road. put a security there to do so, for that, the footpaths and the damaged slabs should be replaced.
Speedbreakers are useful for the vehicles coming from both sides of the road. not intented for the vehicles coming from bhavani. there is aleady a speedbreaker in front of the parking lot, so they are already slow. but the cars and bikes coming from other sides of the straight road, A speed breaker is a must. and never complain about the disc and all, you should be careful and pay the attention to others.
Do you think if someone complain about the speed, they will come and penalize the car/bike? thats IMPOSSIBLE.
So, the very simple and practical solution, is the speed breakers…
I support for this.. we need speed breakers
Supporting to the fullest for speed breakers…
I dont think implementing technical solutions for restricting the speed limits won’t work. It is an additional work to the securities who are already finding difficult to control the entry of vehicles inside TP during peak hours.
More than that a long term suggestion to issue Rf-IDs to vehicles of TP to track their entry instead of displaying ID card is still pending. If that is happening first then all the other technical solutions can be implemented provided the govt allocates budget or any company in TP sponsors it 🙂
Hence, the immediate solution is “Need 4 Speed Breakers”
Speed breaker is a good idea.
But when we talk about slowing down vehicles pedestrians also should behave themselves. Most of the time pedestrians don’t use food path and cross the road as they like. Pedestrians get the priority when they are crossing through zebra line. Most of the people cross the road infront of Thejwasini as they wish and some people don’t event look to both sides if some vehicles are coming.
Yes i totally agree with your suggestion of putting speed breakers
It is hightime fro speed breakers. Well before I have personaly sent a mail to Mr.KR on this requirement and what is replied is that he has put traffic wardens to control the speed. Just a lame excuse.
We need speed breakers, not the traffic gaurds. How can a human being can constantly looking for the speeding vehicles? Speed breaker is a very simple yet practical solution. There are speed breakers in front of all such places, including the bhavani and Gayathri, Nila etc.. Then Speed breakers are very much needed in fornt of tejaswini, where the most people are crossin the road.
I completety support this mission. Speed breakers are the need of the hour, and also we need to restrict the speed of the vechicles less than 20 km in campus.
I support it. we need some restrictions
I STRONGLY SUPPORT THIS.
WE NEED TO PUT SPEED BREAKERS IN FRONT OF TEJASWINI
I also support it.
Two weeks back, i also witnessed for a near to death incident. A girl was trying to cross the road afternoon. then someone in a brand new car ( not registered yet, I think he was test driving the car in terms of its speed and breaks ) and he actually came in nearly 80km/h and we thought he hit that girl. Luckly it didnt happened. Thanks god..
There are many such incidents happening everyday, and nobody knows to whom they have to complain…
We need to put an end for such risky plays.
So we have to put speed breakers immediately
I also support it.
MY SUPPORT FOR IT
i also supporting it. we need speed breakers
– Dileesh Mathew
I also support it. thats is a very busy point, because tejaswini and bhavani are the biggest building in campus and there are much more people working. there would be a heavy rush during the lunch time and afternoon office closing time.
so as a safety measure, we have to put speed brekers on both sides of the road.
My full support for it
-ranjit
Infosys
We need the speed breakers. We also need to educate the people crossing the road. most of the people do not use the zebra crossing which is between bhavani and tejaswini.
i have also seen people walk on the road from TCS to the main gate even though a path way has been provided.
as professionals , Its high time we also follow some road rules
I support this.
I support this. we need to stick on the rules and speed limits
my support for this movement. we need speed breakers
supporting
I strongly support this movement.
My support for this. one bike hit my husband 2 months ago, got some minor fractures. people are not caring while riding through that rode. overspeed caused the accidents.
so we need speed breakers in fornt of tejaswini
I AM ALSO SUPPORTING THIS. 100% SUPPORT FOR IT
great move..all the best
100% Support ! Really Required.
Speed breakers are very good suggestion. But with respect to that pedestrian fencing should also be there. In the road there should be one pedestrian crossing zebra cross between Thejaswini and Bhavani. Rest of the portion of the pedestrian walkway should be properly fenced. So that we can avoid pedestrian crossing here and there between the buildings.
Why so complex? simply putting the speed breakers is the immediate solution, and let us go for the fences next.
Speedbreakers are to make sure that, the vehicles are keeping the slow speed, so that no fatal accidents would happen there.
What is so complex in this? Why people are in hurry inside park, to get Parking or to attend any call or urgent task etc. Not only pedestrians are working in technopark. I always noticed that the pedestrians walking through road instead of footpaths, crossing from any point to any point without using zebra lines, in some talk when walk manner. There should be descipline for both drivers and pedestrians its not one sided. Again if an accident happens from the mistake of a pedestrian then also the blame wil be on car driver only rite? From TP back gate to front gate in every 2 mtrs we cant construct speed breakers. Speed breakers should be there where people will cross the road. Rest of the places in the road will be fenced properly.
Yes preference will be always for the pedestrians. not the vehicles. My opinion is to construct a parking lot somewhere in the technopark ground, and people should walk to the office instead of using the car to park under the building.
These drivers will become pedestrians then, and they can understand the rights of a pedestrian.
Did you noticed in technopark campus, the number of pedestrians in road would be less than the number of vehicles anytime.
Also the pedestrians in technopark is not that much stupids as it in the main roads outside technopark.
No need of constructing the breakers in every three meters, instead the drivers should drive supposing the speed breakers are there in every three meters
my dear friend saju, please go and see what is happening in that road. Instead of raising your temper. You can watch it from either bhavani or tejaswini top floors. How people are crossing the road, just now i saw two girls they are crossing through the median, there are some plants, they are crossing through that way for easy access. How come a driver will make sure that there can be a chance of pedestrian crossing. Vehicles are for peoples comfort. I dont know from where you are coming, are you travelling all the way from your home to office by walk. And one more thing, you can find good road only inside TP campus in Trivandrum so people will put leg in accelerator.
