Trivandrum terminal is a state of the art of its kind….
Lat month, I had used Trivandrum International Airport after long 5 years!! Shame on the authority in not eradicating the customs gangsters from the airport. I was sieged by the blood sucking customs officers for bribe for the 40″ Sony TV, I had brought along!! Hope the new Airport terminal will have plenty of spy camera installed and monitored by few honest police officers, if any, remotely. I am still pondering whether to lodge an official complaint about the incident or not??

we want the inaguration will soon, all governments in kerala avoid this air port all the time. This is one of the most leading airports in south india.Emirates airlines had strated an additional service to tvm. When vizhinjam port will open Trivandrum will be the most important city in South India because Vizhinjum is the deepest port in the world.

Well done. At last!! When will the new terminal at Trivandrum be inaugurated? Thanks to all those who have worked hard to build this great piece of architecture.
Is there any direct flight from London or America? Hope the authorities will discuss with leading world class airlines to operate from America, Australia, Canada and Europe. Please do not neglect our humble requests…

When I was a child I used to travel through TERMINAL 1 at that time my self and my family/every one were curiously looking at the construction of the new air port beside to the old one in 1979 – 80 (TERMINAL 2 ‘ – which we are using now) thinking that it would be a heaven –
its seems to me like a garbage box once I started using it “ any how from last 15 years I am using itâ€
Now I can hear/see another one is again constructed spending cores of rupees still with limited facilities which can handle only 1600 to 2000 passenger at a time.
“â€The new terminal would have 30 check-in counters, 18 immigration counters, 18 Customs counters, three security checking units and four conveyor belts to facilitate hassle-free movement of passengers All modern facilities such as escalators, elevators and aerobridges will be provided.
The terminal will be able to handle the passengers of two A-300s and one Boeing 747 aircraft at a timeâ€â€ disgraceful.
Weird/crap – had any one seen the newly constructed airport in Hyderabad and Delhi, where the No. of international flights are less than Trivandrum.(may be Delhi not) Have a look at the Plan and facilities of that airport and compare “No need to compare with other WORLD CLASS TERMINALS s

Trivandurm international airport is now the best in kerala.
No use if the flights are being cut down. Recently, Gulf Air stopped operations from TIA.

we want to open this as early as posssible and i heared one news regarding the name change of tvm airport pls keep its name as TVM intl airport or
while we are talking about new airport terminal we should have to keep in our mind about the King of Travancore who has constructed this airport. A sujjestion from My side that if the authoroties want to change the name of the airport pls change to the HH kings name of Travancore like chathrapathi sivaji airport….and i think the politician will stop the all back play towards the development of Vizhinjam project.
Its a great news, i slaute all the people behind this project for their great effort. Atleast we are proud in front of other state people that we have world class airport terminal in Trivandrum. Being a Trivandrum orgin, I hope our people will maintain the terminal neat and clean like other world class aiports.

good work… even though it lacks some different colour shades…but when considerin the fact that these are not the final view altogether its a job performed excellent…!! hopefully we will be zippin through these lavish terminals when we get back home next time….please ensure the the airport personnels too exhibit the same standard…so that we all can be proud of boastin it….thanks for the snaps too….all the best….

G8 work done. I missed it in my last vacation, will have 2 wait 4 another 1 year. Hope it will have the all these shown facilities in a good manner.

Proud to hear about the new terminal. But the users fee is not justifiable. Politicians should raise their voice against the fees. Majority of the air port users are not earning much from their jobs and are going to homeland once in 2 or 3 years. But I dont think that authorities will change their mind, as they are in the impression that all are rich who are traveling by air. God bless them.
UDF is not justifiable especially for sky-high priced tickets to destinations within India. Why should i pay 750 INR for a 1hr propeller-aided flight to BLR? As it is, flights are overpriced from TRV. I would rather take a bus/train or even fly from Cochin.
I am sorry but I dont think the new tvm airport can be compared to international standards as of yet….

Good to know the Tvm has a new terminal. I am avoiding Tvm airport for so long now due to various reasons like bad staff culture, hygiene purpose, traffic probs etc .. Hope atleast the new airport toilets are in the international standards (no buckets and mug please)

I have only one worry about our politicians.
Building, escalator etc are one thing. How the employees manage to maintian and operate it will decide whether it is of good class or not. Let us not call it world class when Changi, Suwarnabhoomi all are just 4 hours away. I know the mentality of Malayali, lazy buggers while in Kerala.(Acknowledge hard working outside Kerala) I did not like the meatsl sheet luggage conveyrs. Energy inefficient and noisy. In this age of green design they should have used belts not steel plates, more of natural lighting and not fluroscent light (remember power shrtage and power cuts???) The whole place will look dull with out electric lights. The electricity bill will add to our airport usage fees. Now you all think before jumping in celebration.
I wrote the above message with the name ak. I could not post first so was testing, then it worked. My mind is still there.My pen name is Ayyappa. I love my Trivandrum as I was born and grew up there. Now living outside kerala the land of bandhs, harthals. God’s own headache!!! Wecome tourists and see whether your holiday plans succeed or inundated by the business of Kerala politicians. Swagatham.
