Nirapunchiri – An Onam Melody From Infosys Techies

TechnoparkToday.com (Aug, 2017) : Nirapunchiri, an Onam melody -conceptualised and created by a bunch of friends from Infosys Trivandrum is gaining a lot of attention on social and news media. The song was officially launched by Indrajith Sukumaran on the 18th of August, and has since garnered close to 1L views on YouTube.

Nirapunchiri, was conceived late last year during Utsav – Trivandrum Infosys’ annual cultural extravaganza, where one of the teams -Maveli Express, decided to come up with an original composition for the Onappattucompetition. Fast forward to May 2017, the team decided to revamp the song a bit, create a storyline, shoot a video and have the entire clan of Keralites for an audience. The whole team – cast and crew, are either current or ex-Infosys employees. The fact that this piece of art was created despite hectic project schedules anddemanding timelines, makes this success all the more special for the team. That, combined with the quality of their art, makes for an inspiring tale for the rest of the techie crowd!

The concept and screenplay was done by Srijith Vallathol, the direction by Bipin Gopinath, cinematography by Vineeth Vijayan, production by Sharan Mohan, lyrics by Kiran Raghavan and music by Anoop Balachandran.Saranya Nair, also from Infosys and Sneha Rajaramadas &Sanjay Raj both of whom are ex – Infosys employees, have lent their voices to this song. Raseen Majeed, Mithun Pillai and Srijith served as creative heads on this project – despite being posted abroad on deputation.

To handle the technical aspects, the team has roped in some of the best recognized names in their respective fields such as SumeshAnand for sound programming, AppuN Bhattathiri for video editing and VijeshViswanath for mixing and mastering.The music video was produced under the banner of MAVELI EXPRESS Productions – In association with popular Independent Music Channel and Media house – KreativeKonnect.

The video has been receiving immensely positive reviews which include shares, comments and reviews from eminent personalities including music director Bijibal, musician Sachin Warrier, director RanjithSankar. In addition, mentions and shares by upcoming actresses Ahaana Krishna, Arya and Malavika Nair and popular online media channels such as Block buster media, Smart Pix media, Film Faktory etc.

Nirapunchiri is essentially a result of friendship, a coming together of like-minded people, driven by adesire to create a work of art that would evoke happiness, nostalgia and a yearning for the times gone by.
