Onam – Thovala Blooming

As  Trivandrum begins Onam celebrations, the flower market in it’s bordering place starts to bloom.

Thovala is the new symbol of our bygone prosperity.  Malayalees joyfully take a trip to Thovala, located nearly 80 km from the city, marking the beginning of our Onam celebration.  As Pookkalam is an unavoidable part of our Onam celebrations, Technopark companies are ready to spend INR 3000 – INR 75,000 to buy flowers for a Pookkalam.  The celebration of our prosperity ironically prospering the neighbour.
