Park at your own risk at Carnival Infopark (Leela Building- Technopark)

carnival parking issueTechnoparkToday.com>>  A techie was shocked to see deflated front tires and scratches in her car which was parking in Carnival Infopark building for two days. The callous response of authorities was a double shocker

A Technopark employee parked her car in the parking lot for couple of days as she was travelling. When she was back to pick the car, it was noticed that the front tires were deflated and the car was scratched on all four sides manually. The fact is that the car was parked over there after the service and was looking brand new.

It was reported to the authorities at that instance itself.  Later along with the colleagues, she went to Carnival office and explained everything in detail.

“Even though they were reluctant in the beginning to hear what we were pointing to, they listened to the matter and told will give a reply of what can be done it two days and will probably be a positive one.  But, we were really surprised to see the below response from their side”, friends accompanied her to the Carnival office told to TechnoparkToday.com.

The answer was as follows:

  1. There is no solid proof that the car did not have those scratches when entered into Leela Premises.
  2. The car was parked more than the usual allocated time given to the employees to park.
  3. If such elongated hours parking is done, information of such needs to be provided to the Security, which was not done.

“The car was parked over there after service and we have the proof; the bill and the date showing it was done on the same day when the parking was done too. What if somebody steal my car from the slot and this irresponsible people will tell there is no proof that your car is parked over there ?  Also what about the security ? Whenever we see the security in Carnival Infopark building, they will be in deep sleep.“  the techies said.

“There is no specific time limit mentioned anywhere. We are paying monthly rate and not hourly rate. They don’t have any right to question when I am parking or taking it away. If there is some rule it should be conveyed which is not done.  Most of the time, no security will be there in the parking lot.  Stating all this, we replied to their mail which they don’t even bother to respond which shows their responsibility.” the techies said.

  1. I think this is the reason why people from Leela building park their cars in the parking area of Nila building. Cant they check the CCTV camera of what happened to the car ? If they have a proper security things will be safe.

  2. As a car owner I can completely understand your frustration. However this is not an uncommon incident,
as we do hear things like this happening all around us. Firstly this seems to
be done by someone who wanted to trouble the car owner, it’s a prank which went
too far. The building security in any place can never be in a position to 100% avert
such things nor can the cameras deter such incidents (not all spots are fully
covered). I understand it is natural for us to point towards lack of security
however if this is done by someone who wanted to do this, there are sufficient
opportunity while the car is parked in the area.

I am in no way saying this is right, my point is the security or the building
management can do very little here. It is all of us who needs to be responsible
and not do such a thing. You may not like to hear, but this could (or most
likely) be someone from your own office who has done this, you may want to talk
to your HR and spread awareness in office to control such incidents in future
for others benefit too. Secondly how sure are you about the condition of car
(the scratches) when you got it from service, could this be done at the service
workshop? Tyre, once you got it repaired, did you get to know if it was simply
deflated or was there a puncture?

  3. This shows the establishment does not care about the safety of the employees and the inefficiency of the security guards. The security service is not up to the marks . The organization like carnival should always keep up the standards and has to take strong security measures

  4. can you reveal your company name and building?

  5. CCTV? are you joking????? they dont even have manual securities in car parking area…

  6. When you run a paid parking service , you are supposed to be accountable for the safety of the vehicles parked.
You are speaking as if we lost a mobile phone inside a movie theater.

    Get real KID!!!!

  7. the ones commenting to this should be bold to reveal their identity….creating fake profiles and posting is not something professional? do you dare to reveal?

  8. and it was not pucture…manually deflated

  9. Taking monthly rent of Rs.750/- p/m, what security are you providing?

If it is just for the space then technopark should charge all the car parked by the sideways and common parking.

We under stand your feeling being part of the management. Then open your eyes and watch sleeping security in Carnival(Leela) building even at day time. No wonder this happen only in Carnival. What is your vested interested in operating this security agency?
Try for some leading agencies like G4S, Checkmate or Private Eye. This has happened in your premises, so rather than defending sum up with solution.

  10. The response got from Carnival (Leela) management at the time of making complaint itself shows that they are not interested in identifying the right culprits. This in turn shows that the culprits are known to or within the management itself. Otherwise when such an incident happens in the paid parking, at least, they should have initiated an enquiry. To be frank, I am afraid to park my car in the paid parking slot. I know some of our employees who deliberately won’t park there and they choose places were at least the Technopark securities are present. I believe this is not the first incident in this parking lot. I have heard other people talking about similar incidents in the recent past.
Regarding security, I can give you enough pictures of securities sleeping during duty time. If you are still not convinced then I can post it here for the reference of entire Technopark community.

  11. Dear Friends,

As you all are aware of Technopark security, that is quite doing good but when it comes to the private buildings inside the Technopark campus was atrocious like anything. they dont even care about their clients requirement, only they want monthly rent and other charges and all . Apart from money motive these management should take care of their clients requirements like their female employes security inside campus, Safety of all employers private vehicles parked insde and heigenic food, Please donnt comprimise on these matters. Trivandrum Technopark is our country’s one of the pride institution.

  12. @ Ajin, we disgraced from the topic. I daring to disclose my identity v/s someone coming out open on the social media is no different (both ways it is convenient, none is Braveheart). The real change or challenge is on the ground, would you dare your organization to run a campaign to be good citizens of Technopark who should discourage people not to do such things, including how we park our cars in campus, how we drive?

I am not sure if you are the owner of the car, like mentioned earlier, your frustration is absolutely understandable, however blaming security or the building management is not the solution. The real issue is people who do such things and they are very much in our own office. The effectiveness of security can go both ways, this is the first forum I am seeing where we are appreciating the Technopark security, otherwise in most places I hear how rude they are. Any stricter security from Leela would mean more frustration for all, imagine the security questioning everyone in the car parking area. The issue lies within our offices and with our own colleagues.

The guards sleeping on duty is a different issue, which should be addressed. At the end they are not there to protect our cars. And don’t we all know who do we blame once we lose our phone in the cinema hall, it’s the same here!

  13. Hi Ram, the Technopark security is no different, I once faced similar issue like being discussed here. It was on the Technopark roads, there was a security guard on duty when I enquired if he saw anyone around my car, he very rudely replied stating this is not his job. When I questioned him, why is he raising his voice, he asked me to go wherever I can go to complain. In this case, the Leela management seems to have listened to the query and given a response professionally. At the end I had to get my
car repaired on my own, I know this was done by someone from my office as no
one else had any business to damage my car. I raised this with my company, so
far it’s been about 2-3 years and there is never been a repeat of this sort of
incident. (This is something I have highlighted to Ajin below in my reply to
    him)

  14. Do you hold building management accountable for any loss or damage within your office, finally you pay rent for that space too? How come it becomes different for car parking space. Have your security in parking just like in the office, if you really want a solution. Think deeper.

  15. Dear, again the topic is “PAID PARKING SERVICE” ….. I suggest you think deeper….

As far as i know inside buildings , we are not paying them for storing our belongings.

    I repeat, “PAID PARKING SERVICE”.

  16. Looks like Carnival Infopark hired a new “Blog Writer”……

Hey if there is opening for the same there, let me know…. Couple of my friends are interested.

  17. Hi Sadul, the matter is paid parking, when they are charging money for the parking space and they also allotted security over there for the safety then there is vicarious liability that means building owner will be liable for the damages.

  18. There were lot of complaints against the Leela park securities in past also. At that time it was running by Leela itself, but now its under carnival. So that means that there are something common, no matter whoever is running it. I guess the reason is that is a PRIVATE building, than the technopark owned / operated one. Most of the technopark owned / operated building is having really good security coverage and safety.

So here we can see the attitude of the management / security guys of a private building within technopark. earlier also i heard some of the goons attack against a restaurant owner in Leela info park building.

I request the technopark authorities to impose some strict security measures, to operate within the technopark campus premises. like install proper security cameras and put necessary security guards and if there are some conflicts the technopark authority also needs to involve to make the decision quick and help the employees

Techies, this is a clear case of negligence and arrogance. So we should raise our voice and lodge complaint to police, Leela building authority and Technopark authorities. also spread this news in Social media, to share the bad experiences happened to others and create an awareness.

  19. No matter how hard you try to defend Carnival, the fact stands out loud and clear, the inefficient security force that you entrust the building. We understand your feelings and frustration, Mr. Sadul. But the incident already happened, so better keep mum than spit on yourself. It’s ideal to show your skills in properly managing the building. If car parking doesn’t come into purview of your security systems, then you are saying that security is dumb at all locations and we need not pay any attention to those sleeping buffoons conveniently placed at irrelevant locations.
I think you are totally screwed up by this news which is why you lost ability to think and express. its PAID PARKING SERVICE, and you are supposed to have security patrols in car parking .do you have any basis to talk with such confidence that the damage was caused by employees in the company? I have seen you mentioning about the non-reachability of security and security camera at one place and same time so confident that it is the employees in the company and none else!! In that case, like you assume and confirm its employees who did such a coward act, we can also assume that security or someone from the carnival management is the culprit here. A security guard/ supervisor/ management who wanted to trouble the car owner!!! People won’t dare to do such a thing in daylight and it’s obvious that the security and building management has access to all areas in the building 24*7. Your over defense itself adds on to such a suspicion.

  20. Yes, the employees trust the building authority to provide necessary security and protection for their car parked inside the building. Else Why should we take a paid parking than parking in the NH road side? We believe parking in public road is safer than parking in Leela building parking space. ( After seeing such an incident ).

  21. I completely agree with you. The interesting common factor here is the same old sleeping securities.Like you said, in Technopark managed buildings, Thejaswini, Bhavani etc, this security lapse will not happen, as even the car parking is under tight security supervision. Here, the priority is for this securtiy agency rather than safety of employees and it is shame to see them survive all these recurring flaws. There is no chance of opting for other better security agency because i strongly feel there is bribe game happening under cover. is it so Carnival?

  22. I completely agree with you Mr Rajesh. 23. This is not a mall or cinema. This is IT park. Carnival is a kid in IT park, and they definitely have to go through training lessons. After all, you are only intended to provide facility services and not to trouble employees. Grow up and be professional!!! Should employees suffer for your inefficient management and security flaws??

  24. Carnival Infopark itself created a fake profile for defending themselves…when asked for identity they are running off. If you dont dare stay quite rather than talking bla bla bla……

  25. Dont provoke to post the security pics who are doing their duty in Carnival Infopark building….In cinema halls, i dont pay money for them to take care of my car….dont try to be so stupid

  26. The so called securities in Carnival Infopark!!!!

  27. Hi Ajin, let me clarify, I am not with Carnival Infopark, my views are my own and I still rest my case. Not saying much on this blog as it is too tilted towards one view, I also feel there is no tolerance for an alternate view here. Point remains the damage to the car seems to be a personal vengeance and I guess Leela security is not behind it. We are trying to fix a symptom and the cause is elsewhere. I too am a victim of such an incident where my car was damaged within Technopark

  28. I agree with you for the cause ., But before posting these securities photo you blur the faces because we all at least once slept in work floor and that is not only due to the irresponsibility. As a social person we need to be more careful while posting such images. What if i post some of your images showing you doing phone call while driving? Whether it states you are all time law breaker. No, definitely No. Such incidents happen, we need to rectify it but dont use to exploit some ones life.,

Give them a tight warning and file case with police dept. Check CCTV cameras. These we can do and i dont think these men now sleeping is only the reason for such scenarios.

  29. I, Dileep PS, am an employee of a company located in the M squared building within Technopark.

On 19th October Monday, I had parked my car within the Technopark premises while I had come to office. Due to over time and extra work hours that I had to complete, I left office on
the next day only (20th October,
Tuesday). When I approached my car, I was shocked to see that my Car’s
windshield was destroyed and a scratch was also there on the Bonnet. I
also happened to notice that there was a large rock
    next to the car.

I am really upset about this situation. If an employee who works in a company within Technopark cannot park their car and be assured of its safety when parked within Technopark premises, how can we work with peace
of mind while at office? I have to commute by car daily as I live away from Technopark and have limited means of any other commutation. I think and believe that as a person working within the Technopark premises, the Technopark authorities owe me an explanation
about this incident. Technopark authorities have shown a deaf ear towards my enquirers. I have been trying to get some answer to my problem for over a week now.

  30. I dint tell it is you…..but now it is clarified…here it is….if not even bold to reveal identity, better not to comment…You created this profile just to defend this…your profile shows when it is created and number of responses it has done….

  31. You are trying to trivialize the matter!
