Pattinte Palazhi is full of overdose of emotions, which may be accepted by people who is in the music industry. But how much will this generation youth accepts is something to see. Though there nice moments in between, the film is actually affected by too many clichéd scenes and pretentious dialogues.
The story is focused on a girl Veena (Meera Jasmine), who loses her way to some sad incidents in her life, on the pursuit to become a playback singer. Her dad (Jagathy Sreekumar) has just one aim in his life, which is to make his daughter a singer.
As we watch ‘Pattinte Palazhy, there are plenty of other films that come to mind, Abhimaan being the most prominent one.Like many other movies based on music we do have melodious songs in this movie too.
Meera’s obsession with characters that have a psychotic strain in them continues in ‘Pattinte Palazhy’. For the most part, she does it pretty well.
Manioj K Jayan as usuall has handled his role very well. But all claps will go to Revathy who has handled the psychatrist role superbly If you’re looking for a high voltage melodrama on screen, Pattinte Palazhi could give you all those sentimental scenes in plenty.
