TechnoparkToday.com(June, 2014): Police aid-post, pre-paid auto counter and women friendly Nirbhaya auto service started in Technopark. Hon. Home minister Ramesh chennithala inaugurated all these three facilities in Technopark.
All three services were implemented with the special interest of Hon. Home minister Ramesh Chennithala, after an open house interaction session with techies 17 days back. The decisions were taken and implemented in fast track with the help of police department and technopark authorities. He cited it as an example of efficiency of police department.
The newly opened police aid post will be co-coordinating the security coverage, and provide 24 x 7 paroling around technopark campus. A woman Sub-Inspector will be present at the prepaid autorickshaw counter from 3 pm everyday. Police patrolling will be conducted inside & outside Technopark using four motorbikes. Techies can lodge complaints about the crimes and safety issues happening in an around the campus, and police will take immediate actions.
Kazhakkoottam is the first rural location where the women-friendly autorickshaws are being clubbed with the ‘Nirbhaya’ project. A preliminary meeting of auto drivers and the police was held in Kazhakkoottam on Thursday to discuss the plans and fix the tariffs.
In the function, the welcome speech was delivered by Rural SP, Shri Rajpal Singh Meena IPS and Vote of Thanks was given by DYSP of attingal shri Prathapan Nair. Shri M A Vahid – Kazhakoottam MLA, and trivandrum mayor Shri.Chandrika were also present in the inaugural function.
