A 25-year-old visually challenged woman, Bindu was eligible for a flat constructed by City Corporation at Kalladimukham under the BSUDP scheme. However, the family was in an extremely poor financial condition that she cannot afford the money which is the beneficiary share to avail the scheme.
Understanding her plight after visiting her house, Corporation Mayor VK Prasanth decided to seek support from techies to donate the money. When approached, techies’ socio-cultural organization Prathidhwani was all the more happy to help the poor and visually challenged woman. In a quick move, they collected Rs. 49,000 within 2 days after receiving the letter from Mayor.
After paying the beneficiary share, the remaining amount Rs. 12,000 was handed over to Bindu’s father by Prathidhwani team and Mayor VK Prasanth at her house.
Prathidhwani secretary Rajeev Krishnan, executive members Vineeth Chandran, Reneesh AR, Bimal Raj, AK Joshi attended the function.
