It is about the passion for craft and the hard work  of a unique person which has blossomed into such a variety of works.
PS Padmini, was born and brought up in Kottayam. Alumni of M.D. seminary and St. Anne’s school Kottayam, she graduated from BCM College Kottayam and took her B.Ed. Degree from Mount Carmel Training school Kottayam.
She started her career as a Teacher in Trivandrum, served as Headmistress in various schools and retired as Co-ordinator, UNICEF, State Institute of Education, Trivandrum.
She is a manifestation of bubbling enthusiasm and unending willpower. Through her dedication for work even at 72 , she surprises and inspires the younger generation.
She is so passionate that she will say “I have been fulfilling my dreams…â€. Nothing more and nothing less.
From child hood,  inspired by her sisters and brothers, she used to do each and every craft work that she came across. Pursuing craft at that time was a difficult process, since she learned each item through bits and slices from many persons.
The path of learning became swifter and smoother, when she met the right person, the guru , George Fernandez of ‘Flora’ the art school. It was another beginning, which flourished, being a student of Anitha and Lekha of Continuing Education Sub Centre, College for Women, Trivandrum.
She remembers with love and reverence, her late husband Sri. N. Gopinathan Achari, Former Head master, Govt. Model School (retired as DEO), whose consistent and unconditional support was the major pillar of strength.
Her maiden exhibition at Museum Auditorium is the manifestation of the enthusiasm, will power and determination which has not ebbed with age.

Really wonderful….
yes this is really wonderful. especially i liked the paintings of her. most of our people will be lazy and they think themselves as good for nothing after the retirement. But look at her, she is doing something that cannot be done even with the youngsters.
lets give her a big hand, and promote and encourage her for the achievements.
