The portal offers all items mandatory for Christmas. Through the website everything from Christmas cribs (‘pulkoodu’), Christmas trees, serial lights and other decoration items are delivered on one’s doorstep. Last year, Pulkoodu.com had home delivery only within city limits in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, but now it has been extended to all parts of the state on ‘Cash-on-delivery’ basis. The facility has also attracted nation-wide responses. It is ensured that the items reach the customers in 3-5 days’ time.
A year old, Pulkoodu.com was started by IT professionals Anish John and Arun A.S, the two member team has since grown with five more members to the group – Akhil R.P, Krishnakumar, Akhil G, Shijin and Azeem.
“Since its launch, the site has become an instant hit, with queries and orders increasing day by day. Last year, we have donated 5 per cent of the revenue to various charitable institutions in the city, so that the poor and needy could also share the joy of Christmas. But this time, the site itself will be engaging in charity work” Arun AS,one of the founders of the website, told to TechnoparkToday.
“We have added cakes, greeting cards, flowers and gifts to our list. This year, we have also tied up with courier services so as to make the deliveries accurate without any confusion,” said Anish, one of the partners of the portal.
