TechnoparkToday.com(Aug, 2017): The Railway Users’ meeting conducted by Prathidhwani was held today in the Technopark Amphitheatre. More than 200 employess from different companies attended the meeting.
One of the main demands of the people was for more stoppage of trains at Kazakootam railway station. As part of the suggestions evolved in the meeting, it was decided by all to conduct a march from Technopark to Kazhakootam railway station on the 18th of August.
Technopark employees, who are from different parts of Kerala amd Tamil Nadu, and are regular train users, attended the meeting and shared their opinions.Currently, commuters from Nagercoil side suffer as morning trains don’t have the stop at Kazhakkuttom. We have no halts for trains via Alappuzha & trains to Chennai and Bangalore. Further, more stops are required for travelers from North Kerala considering the fact that there are higher number of employees from other northern districts who come to work at Technopark
Prathidhwani has been regularly following up the issues related to Kazhakootam railway station with the government authorities. their involvement and frequent followups made positive results earlier. With thousands of IT professionals working and commuting everyday, and many of them are depending on the trains on working days as well as weekends, so it was a long pending request to allow more train stops at kazhakkoottam station.
