Technopark Trivandrum, along with the park-based Group of Technology Companies (GTech), conducted a roadshow for Technopark Kollam being developed on 40 acres of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on 40 acres of Special Economic Zone in Kundara on the banks of Lake Ashtamudi, as part of the State’s hub-and-spoke model of expansion.
The roadshow—titled “Technopark-Kollam—Putting Kollam on the Global IT Map,†sought to showcase the completed first phase of the IT building that offers one lakh sq. ft. of built-up space with plug-and-play facilities to investors. When fully complete, the park is expected to provide employment to an estimated around 15,000 professionals.
Technopark Kollam also has the distinction of being the first IT park in the State that will have a mode of water transportation to Kollam city. A boat jetty has been completed.
The estimated cost of developing the IT building is Rs 25 crore.
