Robert Fischer Memorial 2016 Chess Tournament started in Technopark

TechnoparkToday.com>> Robert Fischer Memorial 2016 chess tournament organized by Travancore Chess Club was inaugurated on 2nd July in Club House Hall, Technopark.

The matches started on the same day and will extend till 6th July 2016, followed by award distribution ceremony. Rajendran Achari(Secretary, Chess Federation TVM) and Ashok Nair(Secretary, Travancore Chess Club) was part of the Inaugural event.

Grand Masters Laxman R, Venkatesh MR and International Masters Praveen Kumar, Navin Kanna, Balasubramanian are also participating in the tournament. Ephrame M, International Arbiter (IA 5007186) is designated as the Chief Arbiter of the tournament. He will be assisted by a team of FIDE Arbiters.

Cash Prize Fund is INR 300,000 covering a total number of 74 prizes.
