TechnoparkToday.com>> Controversy rages over the death of a youth in front of Technopark.
While locals allege that police and security personnel of Technopark delayed the rescue operation by waiting for 108 ambulance, they denied it by stating that careless handling of accident victim could have worsened his condition. The fatal incident points to the need of proper awareness to handle issues at the time of accident.
The delay in rescue operation has resulted in the death of M Arun Kumar, a councillor with Disha toll free number of Health department, which functions from Technopark. Seriously injured Arun reportedly lay in a pool of bloods for several minutes before he was taken to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. The police and security staff apparently waited for 108 ambulance service.
On the flip side, police was actually taking caution as careless handling of accident victim might inflict grave injury.
The police aid post personnel and the security staff of the Technopark focused on traffic control rather than rushing the victim to hospital, the locals alleged. Refuting the allegation, Kazhakoottam SI S Sreejith said to media that the police was active in rescue operations. “The aid post personnel waited for a 108 ambulance as the victim was seriously injured. Careless handling of the victim would worsen the injuries,” he said.
