Sakhi TV Launches Women’s Forum

TechnoparkToday.Com>>Sakhi TV, the upcoming media by women to empower women, has launched its women’s forum on March 8, 2013, at a grand function held at Vilopilly Samskrithy Bhavan.  Honorable Minister of Health Shri. V.S.Sivakumar launched the 24 x 7 Women’s Helpline Service.

Another initiative of Sakhi women’s forum, free ambulance service for women and children, also launched during the event.  Mrs. Sindhu Sivakumar, wife of minister  V.S. Sivakumar, handed over the keys to ambulance service operator Surya.

Adv. Khulsu, Chairperson, Kerala Women’s Development Corporation, inaugurated the Sakhi Womens Forum and the traditional lamp was lit by nine women personalities selected from different walks of life.

The function was presided over by Dr. R.R.Nair, Chairperson Sakhi TV and Mr. Sreeraj Menon, M.D Sakhi TV, welcomed the guests.  The function was attended by many dignitaries in various fields including Nilambur Ayisha, actress and vice chairperson of Sakhi TV, Hemalatha, the first woman malayalam news reader, Padmini Thomas, chairperson Kerala Sports Council, Sona Nair, actress, Sreelakshmi, actress.

Kollam Panikkar, Director of Sakhi TV, delivered the vote of thanks and the function concluded with cultural programs by students of SCT and music concert by Vaikkom Vijayalakshmi.
