Samsung Launches its Cheapest Android Smartphone ‘Galaxy Star’ in India

TechnoparkToday.com>> May 2013:  Samsung Electronics, the South Korean mobile handset makers, launched their cheapest android smart phone ‘Galaxy Star’ in India for Rs. 5,240.

This entry-level android smart phone is a dual-SIM device with A5 1GHz processor and the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS.  It has a three-inch capacitive touch screen, 2-megapixel camera.  The 4GB internal storage memory and 512MB RAM amply accommodates the most vigorous smart phone usage, vast apps, and content storage.

“Galaxy Star is a device that provides superior value to consumers based on its features, intuitive performance and design features. We want more and more feature phone users to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Star,” Said Vineet Taneja , Country Head, Samsung Mobiles.

Samsung ‘Galaxy Star’ will be competing with similar devices like, Nokia’s Asha series of smart phones and other cheapest devices offered by Micromax and Karbonn.
