>>Nobody was surprised or shocked at the highest number of hits received by the recently uploaded ‘Prthvirajappanâ€episode since we have the worst history of humiliating our own breeds in all possible ways.   Our cricket star Sreesanth and SashiTharoor, the best diplomat this country has seen after V.K Krishna Menon, are a few to mention who are being fully throttled by us in the name of comedy or satire.  Bitter thanks to the modern times of YouTube, Face book, Emails, Twitter etc, all these ribaldry find thousands of viewers within hours of uploading.  This should put us in the biggest shame because our much cherished method of criticism has lost its disinterestedness and literary values there by taking every one of us to a mediocre world.
Kunchan Nambiar who opened our ears to the ever best satire and comedy would be turning in his grave disgusted by these levels of criticism to achieve somebody’s sadist ends.  Prthviraj is not an actor of the highest standards which he could embellish any story in a way converting it to the best of Malayalam or Tamil features, but within the limitations of our modern film industry he is doing his best to deliver something to keep the industry alive, thereby push the lives forward of many who somehow survive with this industry.
The only mistake he has made in his life is his agreement to sit before a controversial interviewer who has put many in deep trouble, and shockingly, without any compunction leaving the seat when he found it was going to get hotter once he like the majority estimated that the veteran politician of Kerala would be back to rule again. Â For him, every person before him is a kidney merchant and questions them to find out his meretricious qualities rather than his meritorious services to mankind.
Actors like Prithviraj should be cautious how words of them can be twisted and twisted until it harm themselves. Â It does not mean they should shy away from media and get cocooned somewhere. Â They should join the struggle to develop a mature audience who understand art in its deserving manner. Â Do not go too personal on TVs because the majority of viewers do not see things voyeuristically. Â This should be more understood by people whom being watched closely by many. Â The interviewers like to trifle with others but remain sober, and entertain the viewers, not the advertising managers of media.

its easy to understand a fanatic Prithviraj fan has written this.. he has not come to the main point.. why do we hate people like Sreesanth and Prithviraj(APPAN)??? simple.. they are not as good as they think they are.. and they show it off as if there are no other people better than them in their own field.. their own words and actions make us irritated.. but we dont hate Mohan Lal.. we dont hate Mammooty.. we dont hate PT Usha.. we dont hate IM Vijayan.. Superb writing and amazing thoughts. Mallus are infamous for defaming someone who is better than them. Did we ever seen anybody is being praised by the mallus other than our old and shameless so called megastars?
Prithviraj is the youth icon, and he is having the guts to say whatever he think..not like the people who think one, and saying another by sugaring the media and the dump audience.

It is not true, he was famous for his “over self confidence” before that. There were youtube videos floating.
One of the rumer I heard about this actor was about investing money for cutouts to display throughout Cochin 😉
One can tell about himself, but he was not supposed to do indirect comments about others. By telling himself as a “hero”, he was making himself a “joker”. We malayalees (oh guys, don’t call “mallus” ever!) usually grows by making others say “good” or “bad” about us.
So, it is not “sadism”. We did not put our “sadism” over Sachin or Manmohan Singh, but definitely “Sreesanth” or Lalu.
Malayali know what to accept and what not.
I am glad that there is atleast one or two nut cases who think like me. Kudos to the author. I am not fan of Prtivi.. But at the same time i strongely feel that none of us have the right to personally insult a human being instead of crtiticizing his work- whether it is Prithviraj or Sreesanth or Santhosh Pandit or Harishankar or Mammootty or Mohanlal.
Sasi Tharoor, Sreesanth, Prithviraj… these are the people haunted by the mallu’s bad and poor jokes.

Talking about Prithviraj, I think he is just another ACTOR. Suresh Gopi is way better. Let us talk about MOHANLAL, MAMMOOTY, JAGATHY etc. They were real actors and of a different LEAGUE altogether. When we have great issues like fuel prices hitting the small/large intestine of common man why should technoparktoday.com and the author be so worried about Prithvirajappan..? I don’t think Malayalis hate Prithvi the actor..its his way of talking and attitude that he is the only guy to be the brand ambassador of Mal film industry, which is making the problem. He talks about Urumi like he made history… if you take a film by copying Hollywood films’ frames and costumes will it become a historic Malayalam film? If so what all should have I V Sasi and Mammooty said about the film 1921 or Lal speak about Kalapani? You can see an entirely different Prithvi in his intvws given outside Mal channels…why? Its all about taking care while speaking in a media…time will help him !
Why we show such intolerance towards Prithviraj? because he is a growing actor, and no lobbying for him, unlike any other super mega stars in the industry.
One thing we should admit that, he is the only actor with sense of reality in current film industry. other stars are just enjoying the stardom and sitting high.

Did you mean we did not accept, Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Suraj, Dileep, Kunjakko boban, …? they are still in the screens just because malayalis see their movies. Our attitude towards these actors will also be same if one of them ‘publish’ their foolishness in media.

Being a fan of Prithviraj, I am regretted to criticize him, but some of his comments did not take supportive value in any sense. You can see that the process of defamation starts from his end against the senior stars and the whole film industry and thus its mass viewers who have been supporting them including this Prithviraj. Why did the list short to Prithviraj, Sreesanth, and Sashi Taroor????Can’t you remember the other versatile and admirable personalities?
We do not want Prithviraj to be blind with pride. Hope healthy criticism will help him to climb the heights of his promising future…

Prithviraj, an actor, and out of screen, he is an individual. No need for any regulations or anything on how he behaves in his real life and in society. As a media person, Brittas’s questions are nonsensical and unwanted. While appearing on TV, he has responsibilities to viewers since majority of them not want to peep into the personal matters of a film actor, like an yellow journal.
And I think, there should be a regulatory system like censor board to certify every TV program, internet uploads, etc .
yes, Britts asked so many stupid questions in front of camera. being an actor and a guest, it was prithviraj’s responsibility to answer those questions. I don’t think those questions were already planned or screened by the guest.
Just imagine, he was asked such questions to you in front of the camera. then you would be answering worse than this.
So, the media should show some maturity. media is not a license to harass someone or showcase someone as a joker in front of the people.

Just google for the interview clips in which Jayalalitha demolished Karan Thapar… If Prithviraj is that smart as his wife claims, he could have handled it better.. 🙂

There is no point in blaming Media.
One must watch his foot steps especially when he is a celebrity. Let him take all these criticizing positively and shape his attitude.
Medias should be taken a little more responsibility in such cases. I don’t think the list of questions were already given to them to prepare for an answer. because I personally experienced this. once i was in to a discussion in a popular channel, and they told me one title, and broadcasted under another.
So as a responsible interviewer, Birttas could have avoided such cheap questions.
Dont understand why author so much worried about this.There are so many cartoons are coming out against many people.Even mammootty and mohanlal also.They never come up against it.They took it as positive criticism.What ever the video is saying absolutely true.Prithiviraj need something like this.He thinks viewers are fools. I second to the Kumar’s comment. Here we are worshipping some super mega star idols used to show off. They won’t even say anything real in their lifetime, especially in front of the media. and will do all the binami and dirty works by themselves and others to make money and we stupid malayalis will worship them by making fan clubs. – What value they are giving the to society other than the crime and violence? nothing..
Yesterday some news paper reported that a super mega actor in malayalm owns some ‘PURAM POKKU’ property near a lake. All these stars are making money by acting from pickle to alcahol to make money and invest themselves and in the name of binamies, buying estates and shopping complexes.
But this man, Prithviraj at least made a film by using his earnings. and he is a human being and we should respect his private life and his view points.
A collective effort to defame him and eliminate him from the industry is already there. He is the person who attained this level without any god fathers.

People are fedup with the ugly romance playes by 60+ aged mega stars. so we need someone to present the youth in the big screen. this is not 1950, so that to keep mum in front of the media. we should appreciate him for what he is doing – to dare to open up his views and thoughts in front of media.
Yes we are thousands of educated and vibrant people to support this person. he doesnt have any fans club, doing dirty tricks on theatre and in public. He is the only star in this industry with some GUTS. that we are appreciating a lot.

What is wrong in she was saying? Best..Mamootty and Mohanlal and their english…Nobody in the malayalam film industry is good enough to speak good english as prithviraj. Thats for sure. Why such a complex when somebody is saying the truth? who all are these mammu and mohan? the age old people still acting as the teenage lover. What a pity.

Mohanlal and Mammooty…both of them are among the finest actors that Indian cinema has ever seen, before criticizing them he should at least try to learn from their career milestones and improve his own acting skills. You cannot consider his stupid jealousy towards them as his so called “daring attitude come view”….
Let us consider the case of Tamil
The great super star Rajni Kanth and the acting king Kamal Hassan both are still acting but at the same time actors like Vijay, Ajith ,Surya, Vikram ,Jeeva and a lot more are also acting in the same industry and we have never heard of them complaining to stop the acting of Rajni or Kamal. And for your information they all are good I mean far more good than the so called “English Scholar” of malayalam.
Both Mohanalal and Mammootty joined the industry in a very young age and at that time the superstars were Nazir,Madhu,Ummar,Jayan etc.but any body have never heard of Mammootty or Mohanlal criticizing them to stop acting as youngsters.
And when is the last time they acted as youngsters, for the at least the last five years in every movie both of them are handling a role with age more than 40.
From the expert comments of Shriman Prithviraj all we can conclude is true Jealousy and nothing more than that.He should first stop comparing and focus on himself.

You will remain disappointed ever. Try to watch their movies ( lalettan’s and mammookka’s) and learn what they are capable of. You will be stunned for sure. If not, my dear friend, you are completely out of mind. What you can all do is say a big WTF to yourself. I don’t find any reason to convince you, coz the fact remains the same, even some tries to manipulate it.
