In a major relief for Technopark employees and students of the Kerala University Kariavattom campus, the Southern Railway authorities have decided to introduce stoppage for two trains at Kazhakkootam station.Â
The Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Parasuram Express (Train No: 6349) and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram Express (Train No.2697) will have stops at the Kazhakkootam station. The decision has been taken by Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee based on the request from Shashi Tharoor MP

Could you also come up with the timings they reach and depart form Kzhtm?
No use. This train starts from trivandrum at 6.30 a.m. There is another passenger train that starts around by that time. Moreover the office timings of most companies are from 9 to 5.30 to 6. It would be better if the Kanyakumari-mUmbai which starts from trivandrum at 8.a.m. has a stop here or the Mangalore-trivandrum 6350 on its return to trivandrum at around 6.15 p.m.
Let this be a start. More patronage, more stops for other trains. City moving to outskirts.
Train to tvm – we have enough buses!! Looking for neyattinkara/balaramapuram, we need trains.
Train to kollam – we may also need malabar in evening/morning AND chennai mail in morning.
Let the kzm railway expands with these 2 trains and then we can go for friday evening and monday morning trains!!!!! (Advt: No need to rush to tvm for train and less traffic volume of tvm city on friday evening)
Then we can go for direct approach road to kzm railway from tp front gate
