SunTec, the leading provider of Relationship-based Pricing and Centralized Billing solutions from Technopark, has added another vertical to its operations by entering the Port Billing domain. This is the fifth industry vertical SunTec has forayed into while TBMS continues to successfully deliver value to our CME, BFSI, Utilities and Leasing customers proving its industry compatibility.
The business equations are changing for port operators. Containerized trade is gaining prominence across the globe. With a liberalized market, influx of private players and increasing regional competition, port management activities are on a flourish across the globe. There is now an increased need for process standardization, which is aimed at better customer centricity, operational efficiency and compliance to maritime standards. These recent developments imply a major change in strategy for port operators – they now need to attract and retain their customers with attractive prices, and at the same time keep an eye on their profitability
SunTec is currently deploying its flagship Relationship-based Pricing product TBMS suite with a leading Port Operator based in the Middle East for its port billing operations. With the deployment of TBMS, the Port Operator will have a centralized billing system to handle port-billing operations. The billing logic would be moved to the transaction-based solution scalable to address container and marine operations billing requirements, while interfacing seamlessly with other operational modules enabling the port operator with greater efficiency and capability to define and maintain personalised pricing.
“The complex and multinational operations that modern day ports are involved in, call for relationship-based pricing. This has increased the demand for differential pricing to customers based on the value they bring in. Today ports are realising the need to attract and retain customers with attractive prices at the same time keep an eye on profitability. SunTec’s TBMS will help port operators by centralizing their pricing and billing operations in vessel as well as cargo operations and enable them to produce a single bill for customers. It will also support real-time and batch-mode invoicing, customer management and credit control among other services.†Said Nanda Kumar, CEO, SunTec.
“The foray into this new domain brings us closer to our vision of TBMS emerging into centralised pricing and billing platform across every transaction-based vertical.†He added.
