Tech-Skill development: Kerala joining hands with German organizations

technical skillsTechnoparkToday.com: In a big leap to match the state’s skill-development initiatives with international standards, the Kerala Academy of Skills Excellence (KASE) is entering into a new partnership with four leading German organizations in ensuring the world’s best technical training for job aspirants in Kerala.

KASE, the apex body under the Government of Kerala for facilitating and coordinating all skill development initiatives in the state, is collaborating with the global industrial giants FESTO, Siemens and TUV Rheinland and the German organization Senior Experten Service (SES) to implement internationally acknowledged training models in the state as part of its International Skill Training and Employability Scheme (iSTEP).

As a first step of this partnership, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between KASE Managing Director Rahul R and the SES Project Coordinator in Asia, Ulrike Puetz, in the presence of the Minister for Labour and Skills Shibu Baby John and the German Consulate General in Bangalore, Jorn Rohde on April 21 Tuesday at Taj Vivanta in Thiruvananthapuram.

It is for the first time in India that a state government is entering in to a partnership with SES, which is a non-profit foundation of German industry for international cooperation. Working in a voluntary capacity as senior experts, SES offers quality training for both specialist workers and management staff within and abroad Germany.
