Techies injured in accident at Ponmudi

TechnoparkToday.com :Three Techies from technopark sustained injuries in a road accident at Ponmudi Hill station on Sunday evening. The police identified the injured as Bharat, a resident of Kaniyapuram, Lijin and Vineeth are residents of Indore and Delhi respectively.

The accident occurred around 6.50 pm when the car in which they were travelling lost control and slid nearly 20 metres into a gorge at the fourth hairpin at Ponmudi. They were on a weekend trip to Ponmudi and were returning to the city when the accident happened. The police said that one of them sustained injuries on his spine, while other person has injured his head. They were first rushed to Vithura hospital and then taken to private hospital. The police said that over-speeding might have resulted in the accident.

Techies are adviced to take utmost care while travelling to places like Ponmudi, since the roads may be slippery due to rain/fogg and some of the hairpin curves are extremely dangerous.
