Techies to join clean Thettiyar drive on October 2

TechnoparkToday.com>> Technopark is proving that its label of world’s greenest IT park is not a mere tag line.  Techies will join the mission to rejuvenate Thettiyar, a polluted stream that flows through Technopark campus, on October 2.  Ahead of this, awareness campaigns will be held through various media.

Requesting support of Technopark companies, tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran convened a meeting to discuss the rejuvenation of Thettiyar.  Representatives, including CEOs of around 25 companies attended the meeting which was presided over by the minister on Monday.

District collector K Vasuki, Technopark CEO Hrishikesh Nair, CEOs and CSR heads of various companies and representatives of Thetiyar Sahajeevan Swaraj attended the meeting. The minister convened the meeting to seek the support of Technopark companies to clean Thettiyar.

“Prathidhwani, the socio-cultural organzation of Techies will join the cleaning drive happening on October 2 and Chingam 1.  Prathidhwani has been supporting the clean Thettiyar drive in Technopark since April 2017” Rajeev Krishnan, Secretary Prathidhwani said to TechnoparkToday.com.

Discussions were held to utilize CSR funds of companies for the cleaning works.
