Technology hub, but no card payments?

Technoparktoday.com(Nov, 2016) >> Techies found it’s very difficult to pay in technopark restaurants since most of them are not card payment friendly. Being a technology hub, it’s very strange to know that only very few restaurants are digitally enabled for the payment.

” It happened in one of the most popular food outlets in technopark. we were about to pay the bill of Rs.650/- after lunch ( two people), we got really surprised to know that, the cashier never heard about the card payment systems. we don’t know what is their intentions behind it” – said Jobin Jacob, a Techie faced this issue.

Being the IT hub, the employees are tech savvy and they are the biggest community in the state using the digital payment systems and cards for their purchases. but still it’s very strange to know that the technopark restaurants are not offering a way to pay via cards or digital wallets.

“Technopark authorities should give a strict mandate to the businesses functioning in technopark to accept the cards and other digital payment methods, it will add more convenience and transparency both to the customers and the business. more than that this is how we can show the level of our digital literacy and adoption rate ” says Murali Krishnan, Director of an IT company in Technopark.
